On my first day of secondary school.i woke up long before dawn.I steered at ceiling,my stomackchurning with worryaboutthe day ahead, making it impossible to fall back to sleep. At eight I clock my mother's voice broke the silence. My eyelids felt heavy, and I was completely exhausted, but I forced myself out of the bed and into a warm waking shower..next,I pulled on my stiff new uniform, acrisp white blouse,a structured navy jacket and matching skirt, beige tights and polished navy shoes. My stomack was too knooted to eat,so I swollowed a few bites.igrapped my my rugsackand headed to busstop. When school bus finally arrived the doors creaked open.I stepped insid to a loud overwhelming wall  of noise. It was packed to brim with senior students.  Thirty minutes later the bus arrived In front of school gates.  I walked through gates into school hallway.  Suddenly, a sharp bell rangout, followed by crackling announcement directing everyone to the assembly hall. I walked into vast room where voices echoed off the ceiling.  After morning prayers were said,a teacher announced for first yearsto go to Room 108  tosit tests in English and Maths to decide which class stream they allocated to for coming year..  The  room was dead silent ,except for scratching of pens. To my relief, the papers was fairly easy.  I completed the paper well within two hour limit.  Once time buzzer went, we moved to rooms 222 and224   .The rest of afternoon flew by, with introductory tasters in English, French, History and Bookkeeping.  When bell rang and I was finally walked through my front door ,a massive wave of relief washed over me .I was glad the day was over. But it was much better than I feared
