Bridget stood in a vast wooded area beside a ridiculous-looking monkey costume lying on the ground.

An intense internal conflict was rapidly draining both her strength and her magic.

A surge of dark magic whispered that she was ugly. It insisted that if anyone saw her glowing belly or the mysterious symbols surrounding her belly button, they would see her as a freakish monster.

Another magical force pushed back, reminding her that she was loved by her friends. It revealed that Boze thought she was beautiful and wanted to pursue a relationship with her.

Caught between the two opposing forces, Bridget grew weaker by the minute.

"Bridget, are you okay?" Boze asked, his face filled with concern.

"I don't feel good," Bridget replied as she swayed unsteadily, struggling to keep her balance.

Meanwhile, back at the haunted-looking farmhouse, Rain entered the kitchen and noticed a half-finished cup of coffee sitting on the table beside Boze's open laptop.

As soon as she stepped inside, she sensed the fading presence of dark magic intertwined with a growing magic of love and hope. She could also feel the fierce internal battle raging within Bridget.

Rain spun toward the kitchen door.

"Delilah, come quickly! Bridget's in trouble!" she shouted at the top of her lungs.

Hearing Rain's cry, Delilah rushed into the kitchen as fast as she could. The moment she arrived, she sensed the same magical struggle.

"Let's go," Delilah said without hesitation.

The two girls bolted out the front door and sprinted into the woods, determined to reach Bridget before it was too late.

Boze and Bridget made their way through the woods, trying to reach the haunted-looking farmhouse. With every step, Bridget grew weaker, forcing Boze to support more of her weight as they walked.

"I've got you," Boze said, tightening his grip around her shoulders.

"I... I'm trying," Bridget whispered, her voice barely audible.

A few more steps were all she could manage before her legs gave out beneath her.

Boze gently helped her sit on the forest floor.

Breathing heavily, Bridget slowly lifted the hem of her shirt and looked down at her stomach. The strange symbols had completely vanished. Only a faint black half-circle remained around her belly button, and even that was steadily fading.

A wave of dread washed over her.

She knew what it meant.

Once the last trace of the black half-circle disappeared, it would be over.

Tears welled in her eyes as she looked up at Boze.

"Go on without me," she said quietly. "I don't want you to see me die.”

"No, I will not leave you," Boze said firmly, kneeling beside Bridget. "We're getting through this together."

Just as all hope seemed lost, rain began to fall.

Oddly, it rained only on Boze and Bridget. The rest of the forest remained completely dry.

The enchanted rain soaked Bridget's clothes and hair. As the shimmering droplets touched her skin, warmth spread through her body. The crushing weakness that had threatened to overwhelm her slowly began to fade.

"I... I feel stronger," she whispered.

With Boze's help, Bridget rose to her feet.

For a moment, they simply stood there in the magical rain, gazing into each other's eyes. Then Boze stepped closer and gently cupped her face.

Slowly, he leaned in and softly kissed her.

Bridget returned the kiss.

As they embraced beneath the mysterious rain, a brilliant white light erupted around them, engulfing the two of them in a radiant glow.

Suddenly, a plume of black mist burst from Bridget's body. The dark magic twisted and writhed as it rose into the air.

A glowing portal opened high above them.

With a deafening rush of wind, the portal pulled the evil magic inside before snapping shut, banishing it forever to the Umbral Realm.

The brilliant light slowly ascended into the heavens.

Bridget suddenly felt a gentle warmth spreading across her belly.

Unlike the unbearable agony she had experienced before, this sensation was peaceful—comforting in a way she couldn't begin to describe.

Curious, she lifted the hem of her shirt and looked down.

The strange circles and glowing symbols surrounding her belly button had returned.

Then she noticed something else.

There was a new symbol among them.

Bridget smiled softly.

"Even though I don't understand what these symbols mean now," she said quietly to herself, "maybe one day their purpose will be revealed."

When she looked up, she found Boze staring at her stomach in amazement.

Realizing her shirt was still raised, Bridget quickly lowered it, covering the mysterious markings.

She walked over to him, wrapped her arms around him, and kissed him once more.

Boze blinked, finally snapping out of his daze.

"What was that for?" he asked.

Bridget smiled warmly.

"Because I love you."

She stepped back, still smiling.

Boze stood speechless for a moment, trying to process everything that had just happened.

Then Bridget reached for his hand.

"Come on," she said excitedly. "Let's head back."

Boze smiled, squeezed her hand, and together they began walking toward the haunted-looking farmhouse, leaving the rain behind as the forest grew quiet once again.
