A shiny little stone once washed around all about the bottom of the sea. It was lost amidst the great expanse of sand and water. ‘What is a little chap like you doing washing all over the sand, whatever ever will become of you out there in the vast expanse of seas and sand and surf. It seems that you will be lost forever.’ said the mighty ocean to itself. And still the little stone was washed all about until it was cast upon the mighty rocks of the shore where it was tossed and turned and mauled against the great reefs of the sea and rocks of stone and fury and might. It was tossed and turned and thrown with great force against the merciless rocks and they said to the little stone, ‘We will chop and churn you to a small stone yet. Whatever will become of a tiny little fellow like you then?’ and they laughed as they threw him all about until he was washed up on the shoreline among all the other little stones and pebbles on the beach. Here he lay among millions of little stones and glittered in the sun. ‘It seems you are just another little stone cast out among a multitude of little pebbles on the shore." said the smiling sun high above ‘Whatever will become of a little chap like you?’ it laughed and smiled at the little stone below shining alone on the beach. It was still glittering on with pride in the sunlight when two men strolled past him one day just walking around on the sand and picking up pebbles and shells. They were just passing the time in leisure it seemed. Then one man stooped and picked him up among all the other little stones lying strewn about all over the place. ‘Wow. Look Bob. A tiny diamond washed up on the shore’ he said to his mate ‘And it's all mine.’ he added with great joy and pride. ‘Wait. Let me see for myself Jack.’ replied the other with happiness and joy at the find. And the two men walked way into the sunset with the little stone of all little stones. A tiny diamond will shine on forever above all the odds in the end. True greatness always comes from within.
