The Winter's Tale

It had been a lovely warm summer the whole sunny season long. Yet soon the cold weather of the chilly months started to creep into the valley. The world became cold and icy all around. One day in the deep heart of winter a lonely snowflake fell from the sky and landed gently on the ground. It wondered why it was all alone in this icy cold valley of winter time. Where were all the other lovely little snowflakes to keep it company and cover the world in a carpet of white snow and ice? It felt alone and forsaken as no other snowflakes would fall from the heavens above today. Yet as the icy cold wind and the colder weather of the night set in, it did indeed start to snow from high above in the icy cold clear blue sky of winter. It snowed and snowed the whole winter night long and when the little snowflake awoke the next morning the whole world was covered in a cloak of the gentle white snow all about. It covered the trees and the hills. It covered the landscape and the valley. It covered the whole world as far as the eye could see. The little lonely snowflake was not lonely and forsaken any longer. The heart of winter had come and so had all its little white snowflakes of brothers and sisters of the icy cold winter. The world was icy cold and lonely throughout the valley, but it was also a very beautiful sight for all to behold. Snowflakes fell from the sky with love in their hearts and with the passing of the winter time. It was the most lovely and spectacular time of the year. Just another winter’s tale.
