Daughter

Daughter(siva) This is a true life story of parents who depended for their survival on their daughter. My friends friends story. She was so beautiful and attractive. She loved her parents very much. She was from a middle class family. She did her education and searched a job. After a lot of her trials she got a good job with a highly paid salary. All her family people were very happy. Her family included father, mother and elder brother. After she got job, she made her elder brother go for further studies. Father was very happy and mother even happier. Her age was just 22 years then. She had to give all her salary to her father to clear his dues. Soon all the dues were clear. Now her father wanted to construct a second floor. She had to take a loan. She did. Construction was over. Everyone were happy. Her brother also got a job. Then soon after his job, her father started seeing matches to her brother. Somehow they finalised and got him married. Now the situation had become that she gave her salary and asked her father for her bus and train charges. In return her father calculated the exact fare and gave it to her. As soon as her brother got married he was blessed with a son. Now all her parents play with their grand child. Father does not ask salary to her brother, as he has his family.

From the age of 22 years, the girl has sacrificed everything, all her wishes, to look after the family. They never thought she had a life out side at her office. She may require some more amount. She may have desire to watch movie, eat outside.... The girl never asked any thing of them as she believed her parents were her well wishers and started doing everything for them.

Now that the girl had crossed 35 years, her parents started to tell her, "see your brother is not going to look after us, as he has a family. You are our hope. Tell us, will you also leave us?" The girl replied "no, i will never leave." Her bank Balance: Nil except deposit of 1000.

One day she came late to the house from her job. Her parents were anxious. As soon as she came, she was asked to whom she went. The girl answered the real reason, but went to her room to cry. The parents then started to spy, as she was like their golden swan.

When surrounding people used to ask her, "when are you going to get her married?", their reply was "she is very sensitive and innocent, we are looking for a person who will stay with us even after their marriage." And now the girl is saying "No".

Days passed on and on the girl realised she was a money minting machine and nothing else.

One day, first time in her life, the girl said she wanted to go to pilgrim place. Though parents were not interested they could'nt say no.
She went by a train and it met with accident. Everyone in the train died.
When parents went to see her body they were unable to identify her. After much enquiry they brought her body and buried it.

Everyone was sad. They started to take her belongings off and found her personal diary.

They started to read...
It said:
Today is my birthday. I guess someone may wish in my family, but none remembers it.
Today I want to eat ice cream, but my money may not be sufficient for return charge.
I need to work an extra hour so that I can take a great gift to my father on his birthday.
I want to buy new dress. My father may get it for this festival...
Father did not get the new dress for this festival, maybe money might be insufficient...

All of them started to cry very lodly as they could not fulfill her very very small wishes. They realised their fault and could not read further. As they were all crying, keeping the diary aside....suddenly their eyes fell on the last page where it read:
"I am very very...very happy... today I insured for my parents and brother. Now even if I die they will not have any financial crises. My life insurance nominees are my mother, father and brother. In case I die earlier they can happily live with the insurance amount. I need not worry much now."

All of them realised there had been a precious gem with them, but they did not value it nor knew the value. Now they have all luxury, every thing except the person responsible for it. Now, though they have every thing, their guilt is not letting them live happily.

.................................This is not the end. Let this be an eye opener to all those parents who want to depend on their daughters.
"Daughters love their parents. They are sensitive like a flower, fragile like glass......Handle them with utmost love and care. Never let them ask you, you give them every thing before they ask. They never complain, they adjust and compromise."
