Cas 42 - The Prison Take Over
Born 1983, M, from Atlanta,Texas, United StatesCommand Officer Rachel McCabe came into the detective office. “I just got through meeting with Captain Graves. There is a hostage situation at Central Prison. The 189th Precinct has all of their resources tied up and there is no one to handle their calls. The 467th Precinct is sending three people for mutual aid. Captain Graves is sending three of our personnel to assist the 467th. Susie, Rebella, and Connor, you will be the ones assigned to assist the 467th. You will need to meet with Captain Baldwin, so he can give you your assignments,” said Rachel.
Captain Baldwin was on the telephone. Inspector Susie Young, Rebella Lucas, and Detective Connor McMasters waited outside. When Captain Baldwin finished talking on the phone he motioned for Susie, Rebella, and Connor to come into his office. Susie introduced everyone, but Captain Baldwin already knew Rebella Lucas. He had arrested her several times and when she cleaned up her act he was her superior officer before she transferred to the 169th Precinct. “You will be working street patrol. Susie and Rebella, you will patrol the East District. Connor you will team up with Rex Poindexter and work the West district,” said Captain Baldwin.
“Great, street patrol,” complained Susie as she was getting into the passenger seat of a patrol car. Rebella got in the driver seat and put the key in the ignition system. Officer Donny Brooks was going to his patrol car and waved as he walked by. “Who is that?” asked Susie Young. “That is Donny Brooks, he was just starting to move up in rank when I transferred out,” said Rebella putting the car in reverse.
While on patrol, Rebella noticed Constantine Saunders and Ted Staveley's vehicle parked at an abandoned warehouse. “I wonder what the crooks are up to?” said Rebella pulling up beside Constantine’s car. Susie took her police walkie-talkie off of the dash. “What are you doing?” asked Rebella. “I am going to call for backup,” said Susie. Rebella chuckled. “We don’t need backup,” said Rebella getting out of the car. Susie had a surprised look on her face as she got out of the car. “Leave your gun and badge in the car,” said Rebella. Susie did what Rebella told her. Rebella unbuttoned her shirt and took off her bullet proof vest. She put her bullet proof vest, her work shirt, gun, and badge in the backseat of the car.
Susie and Rebella entered the warehouse. Constantine Saunders, Ted Staveley, and Edmund Scurry were looking at a set of blueprints. Constantine saw Rebella and Susie. “Oh great! The cops are here,” said Constantine. “Everybody run!” shouted Edmond. “There’s no need to run boys. We are not here as cops,” said Rebella. Constantine, Ted, and Edmund looked at each other. “The police business is getting dull. Me and my partner here want some action,” said Rebella. “Wait a minute, the last time I talked to you, you called me a rat and said you trusted me like a snake,” said Constantine. “Oh, that was only because I had J.P. Bullet’s wife with me. I was just doing that for show,” said Rebella. Constantine was very suspicious of Rebella but Edmund lacked common sense and believed Rebella’s story. “We are working on a plan to get into Central Prison and end the standoff. Some of my best friends are there, said Edmund. Rebella went over and looked at the blueprints. “What have you come up with so far?” asked Rebella. “Well, we were thinking,” Rebella interrupted Edmund. “You have absolutely no idea, do you?” said Rebella. Edmund did not say anything else. Rebella sighed as she looked at the blue prints. “Ok, I am going to need some rope, a backpack, and a helicopter,” said Rebella. Edmund and Ted looked at each other with a confused look on their face. “You heard what she needed, now go get it,” instructed Constantine. Ted and Edmund left to go get what Rebella requested. “I will be right back,” said Rebella.
Rebella went out to the car and got her service revolver, two pairs of handcuffs, and Susie’s holster with her service revolver in it. Rebella came back into the warehouse and handed Susie Young her holster and one pair of handcuffs. Rebella put the other pair of handcuffs in her back pocket and raised up her pants leg and place her service revolver in an ankle holster.
Ted went to the airport and got Brandon Bobel’s helicopter. He flew the helicopter to an empty field. Rebella and Susie were waiting on him. “When we get there I want you to land on the roof, let us off, and then leave,” said Rebella. Ted flew the helicopter to Central Prison and landed on the roof. Susie and Rebella got off. “Good luck,” said Ted as he started to take off.
Rebella and Susie entered the prison through the roof ventilation system. “Ok we are going to go to the control room and take out the phone and power system,” said Rebella as they crawled through the ducts.
Rebella and Susie made their way to the control room. Once inside the control room, Rebella took the cover off one of the panels and disconnected the phone and power to the prison. “What now asked?” asked Susie. “We hide and then we wait,” said Rebella.
Victor Goldbirth entered the room to find out why the phones and electricity were out. “Now,” said Rebella to Susie as she raised up from hiding. “We are the police and you are under arrest,” said Susie coming out from hiding. Victor put his hands in the air. Rebella took out her handcuffs. “Put your hands behind your back,” instructed Rebella. She handcuffed Victor and then instructed him to sit down on the floor. “How many goons are there?” asked Rebella. Victor was getting nervous. “One more, Ronnie, my brother, he is the ringleader,” said Victor. “Ronnie will come looking for him,” said Rebella.
Ronnie came into the control room looking for Victor. Susie and Rebella were hiding. “The police are here,” said Victor. Rebella and Susie came out from hiding. “You are under arrest,” said Rebella. Ronnie had an AK-47 and starting firing at them. They ducked down to keep from getting hit. While Ronnie was shooting at them, Constantine, Ted, and Edmund came up behind them with their guns drawn. “Drop the gun punk,” said Constantine. Ronnie, out numbered, set his gun on the floor. “We figured you might need some help,” said Constantine. Rebella handcuffed Ronnie. “Okay boys, our work here is done,” said Constantine turning around and leaving. Ted and Edmund followed Constantine.
Susie had a confused look on her face. “What’s the matter partner?” asked Rebella. “How did they get in?” asked Susie. “Trust me, Edmund has been in here enough that he knows the place like the back of his hand,” said Rebella.
Victor and Ronnie were found guilty of causing a prison riot and ten years were added to their current sentence.
