IMAGINE

IMAGINE

(A poem)

Imagine we were two brothers,

From the same mother’s womb,

But we lost touch.

Though it does make us strangers,

But being strangers should we be enemies ?

Imagine we were born in the same country,

(Couldn’t that be possible ?)

Circumstances took you across borders.

For that only brother,

Don’t we remain sons of the same motherland?

Imagine you see the sun first,

And I see (the same sun) later,

Same with the moon.

For that only brother,

Do we differ severely ?

Imagine when you have spring,

I have winter,

But, won’t that same spring

Sing in my realm too ?

Friend, for that only should we not be one?

Imagine you speak one language,

I speak another,

But the language of love we both know !

Let then love bind us all,

Connect each heart with another !

I have a dream,

You also have one.

Imagine we have the same dream

To make this world a better place,

So brother let’s do it together !
