A long time ago a boy named Carl tried to understand what was happening in the strange cave outside his town. One day John, his best friend, encouraged him to explore the cave so Carl went there with: John, Ellie (John’s “girlfriend”), Austin and Annie. No one could find them so they were declared dead.

1976, my father is remembering his old times as a soldier in WWII, when he was part of the S.S.A (Secret.Spies.Agency). he starts to talk about his captain so I turn around looking for a way out of that place but when I found it the story became interesting.

-Yes I’ll tell you about my wing-man, Eddie, he was the best sniper we had in the squad. he could shot 1000 times and he won’t fail, but the most impressive thing was that he saved Stalingrad’s battle when we only had 20 squads against a whole German troop. He killed 47 Germans with his rifle!

-That’s not very impressive. I can say that he might have been a loos…

-Shut up, I have not told you how he disappeared.

-Mark please come down it’s dinner time - my mother yells, so I had to stop reading my dead father’s diary; every one tells me that he was kind of a hero but I don’t think so, because he was kind of dumb. For example: until I was 5 he couldn’t sleep if I wasn’t next to him in the bed.

-Mark, don’t make me come up.
-OK, coming.
-Mom what happened with grandpa’s best friend?
-Uh… what are you talking about?
-Ummm…
-No seriously what is wrong with you?
-Mom what do you mean?
-First your grades are too low, then I got fired, and suddenly you burn Mike’s car; I was so embarrassed and I had to spend money that we don’t have.
-Mom nothing’s goin´on.
-Oh you’re just like your father.
-Was dad like this?
-Just keep eating your dinner.

That night I kept reading my dad’s diary and I read this:
-How did he disappear?
-He went to investigate this weird cave, the one near David’s farm.
-Oh yeah, I have seen that.
-Well we believed that there were some hidden Nazis, so we sent there a team formed by our best soldiers.
-You were selected, weren’t you?
-Of course I was selected. so was Eddie, but the night before I found a rattlesnake and I got bitten so I couldn’t go.
-Damn, that must have been a pain in the neck.
-I told you not to talk like that young man. As I was saying, when the squad departed was the last time they were seen.
-Oh wow, what happened?
-We don’t know. The rescue team found two notes. One said something like “please come to the cave, we found amazing things. With love: David”. The other one said that “we must be very careful with the shadows” but we did not understand it.
-Oh that is pretty exciting. One day I will solve the mystery.

I called Kevin, my best friend; Julie, my girlfriend; Jason, another friend, and Jody, Julie’s friend, we all decided to go to the cave the next day.

We are all now in front of the cave - we have until 5:30p.m. to search for answers so we better get going- I said - remember to carry on your flashlights and worry about the shadows.

-Don’t be that paranoid- Julie said. She looked so sexy in those shorts and the little top she chose was driving me mad.

When we were in, we split in two groups. One was formed by Julie and me. The other was formed by the rest of the guys.

The cave was so hot that I was barely breathing, suddenly Julie decided to take off her shorts so, I saw my chance and I took advantage of it.
When we finished doing it I couldn’t breathe. she was so good and that the hottest girl in the school had been my first time was something to be amazed at, but I wanted more so I started to kiss her around hoping that “the act” we just made would be done again but when we were starting, a very penetrating noise stopped us and made us realize that we were in danger.

When we stood up she started to run yelling ”Catch me if you can” and she turned in one corner. when I turned too she wasn’t there.

I have been hunting for any trace of my friends but I feel that I will die soon so I make this tape as a probe of everything. I found that my friends are dead but their bodies will never show up until the shadows decide to show us their secret.

Something is coming. If you see this please try to analyze what is going on in this cave.

20 years later. A refugee camp in Washington, USA

-Damn, this shit is shocking.

-Yeah but now it is not only in that cave, it is on the whole world. Now we can’t sleep without the fear of being “compromised” or better killed by those ghosts that no one can see.
