At fault

He felt trapped, they were searching for him. He heard the sirens coming up close behind him which made him speed up automatically. The he put the car in park, got out and went to the edge of the bridge. It was his time to decide. His feet left the bridge.
It was a Monday morning and Jim was tired as always getting up for school. Same old same old he thought in his head. He is eighteen years old so you would figure he would be used to this schedule by now. “Jim gets out of bed and gets to school; I’m not taking you if you miss the bus”! Jim’s mom screamed up at him from downstairs. She wasn't always like this. She had her share of rough days ever since dad died. She just hasn't been the same ever since that day.
As Jim got into his moms car instead of taking the bus he thought to himself on how he was going to explained to his mom when he got home, if he got home. He turned on the radio to get all the thinking over shadowed. Driving to school he was so awake he couldn't control himself, maybe he should h=of drank two cups of coffee as well as ate a donuts. He was dancing, singing having a good old time. “Bam”. Jim flew out of control. When the car finally stopped Jim could see it all clear laid right out in front of him and his mom’s car. Jim had just killed an elderly man that was crossing the street.
He immediately sped off he didn't know what he was doing. Little did he know someone saw the whole thing? To Jim's luck it was an officer. The officer suddenly started chasing him, Jim didn't want to go to jail, and he was too young he thought. He sped off.
Maybe it is my time Jim kept thinking. The first place he thought of was the bridge; Jim sped as fast as he could. How could I kill someone he thought? I don’t deserve to live. Getting to the bridge he heard several cops now. He ran out, straight to the edge of the bridge. All he heard was the wind and the ocean beneath him. He wasn't scared anymore. He thought of his mom, a tear feel from his face.
I’m sorry it was an accident. Those were Jim’s last words forever.
