Sticks and stones might break my bones, but your words will not put me down. I’m different from everyone else, like really different. I’m not like your average teenager, I don’t hang out in groups like everyone does; I stand alone. People always tend to stare as I look up at them, staring blankly into their eyes. The sky is always by me though; it stands with me as I walk up into it. The hand comes out to me, as I take the hand of air and fly into the sky.
It lifts me into the sky, placing me onto a cloud. I look around; it seems to be more peaceful up here than it is on the ground. People who are ‘Down To Earth’ are missing out on a lot; they’re missing out on something truly magical. I walk through the clouds, admiring the people living in it. The princess of the sky smiles at me, saying that I am welcome to do as I wish. The first thing that comes into my mind is sliding down the clouds that make a slide. However, as I stare into her eyes, her deep blue eyes, something is telling me to stay with you and chat. I walk up to you, only to find that you were gone with the wind, you went somewhere I don’t know. I sigh, noticing a door.
I walk towards the door, staring at the pattern. It had a star in the middle, with the mountains surrounding the area. I blink, opening the door. It was my home, where I see the people looking for me. That doesn’t make any sense, people don’t like me. I feel a hand on my shoulder, and I look to see the princess smiling at me, saying that I should go. I sigh, and nod.
I walk through the door, the light making my eyes squint. The people notice me, and scold me for being late, telling me that I’m not allowed to go anywhere for the rest of the day. But I didn’t go anywhere; I merely just went up into the sky, seeing the air princess. However, as I tell my mother this, she just laughs at my stupidity, telling me that I should come back down to Earth rather than my head staying in the clouds.
It is night time now, the sky a deep dark blue. I look up, sighing as I’m not allowed to see the princess for the rest of the day. I notice that a star is twinkling at me, as if it was winking one of its eyes. I look more closely, realising that it wasn’t a star; it was the princess, wishing me a happy sleep. I smile, wishing her a nice sleep as well; she just smiles, walking off. My eyes grow heavy and before I know it, I’m seduced into the world of sleep, dreaming of the princess.
