THE MAGIC
The sunny light came from the door and filtered over the entire room. The room was brightly lit and the inmate’s of the room lied inside to live life of agreement and affability. With the people living in the room there were four girls and a boy all aged between fourteen and sixteen years. The total people in the room were five and they all were living a life as if the point of survival was to eat and live a life of being totally dependent on self-expression of filth and self-denial. All were not happy but there was one teen who imagined a lot. He drew pages of pictures which were so incredibly detailed that his roommate called him little Leonardo da Vinci. But the boy in spite of such good imagination was sad. Partly because he had virtually no friends and partly because he was much advanced beyond his age. He liked to dwell in different things like media and animation. Unfortunately no one talked to him. The reason being that being he said things beyond his age. No on even cared to look at him as they thought that the boy was a nerd and gifted but could not socialize. So as a result everyone neglected him. Can you imagine the plight of the boy who was neglected and giggled at. The boy led a life which was far removed from reality. Something had to be done but the boy did not know how to improve his condition. He was too young to find a solution for his problem for himself. He could not think of an alternative plan. All he wanted was to escape the confinement and live a more independent and decent life. But will time allow that to happen was the mute question.
He remained very elusive and stopped talking to his friend who talked very seldom to him. He specialized in being a loner and he was beginning to like his loner status. He used to think that being loner is a lot of fun to be. He had not tasted the fruits of being a social animal. He was only a teen and he did not know how to react to different situations. But with this loner status he also began to feel a bit responsible. For example whenever someone was unhappy or sad he would comfort him with many good words. He at last felt that his loner status was not bad.
Teen years are very tumultuous and teens indulge in lots of fantasies. He also fantasized a lot. His parents were far from him and he often missed them. He missed the chatter of his mother and the caring look of his father.
Andy was what a teen should be and his mind was filled with fantasies. He liked a girl of his group a lot but could not express his feelings. He was bit too young to express his pure emotions. So as a result his emotions were suppressed and he just did not know how to speak about his true affinity towards the girl. But as time went by he began to grow restless and he began to think of ways of his expressing his feelings. He fantasized different things about his love. He had some very strange fantasy that he would save the girl form the perils and then become a knight in shining armour. Alas his fantasy found no expression.
One day his fantasy took a ninety degree turn and he imagined that he had been running far and wide in search of his girl. The forests were all bright with sunlight that spread over the canopy over the entire roof as if the trees were grouped together as if the forest consisted only of trees of fir and other snowy variety. He was galloping on a horse that was taking him to far off areas and his mind was running after some object which he did know exactly. His speed was not great but yes he had different very elusive thoughts in his mind. He was not apt to make up his mind whether he was chasing a dream or the dream was chasing him. He simply galloped over the horse and the horse was taking him to areas which he could not fathom. He just went by.
Suddenly he was confronted with a girl who looked very young for her age. She was all white and wore a pink colored gown which overflowed below the knee. Andy thought that she was beautiful as she was looking very demure and had hair which reached her shoulders. So overall she looked very great. Andy just looked at her. She was standing at the edge of a hollow tree like thing. She too looked at him. They both exchanged glances and that was enough to establish a bit of emotion. Andy just looked directly at her as though she was some object to be studied. Andy could not help but glance at her. Virtually he was groping at her. He twitched a bit but since he was also very young looking, gradually her prettiness emerged as time passed. The moment was very magical for both of them and the thought that the time would freeze and she would also be a part of the time that involved both of them. Then Andy jerked a bit and sidetracked the horse. Suddenly then he felt as if something was happening. Upon recollection he found that girl was slowing vanishing. ANDY AGAIN jerked only to come back to reality. In reality he found that he was lying on a sofa and the TV was on. He was surprised but the he liked the dream very much. He could not help smiling and he just wished that dream would come true.
He liked the dream very much but he just did know how and when the dream would come true. Later when he had rethought the dream he found out the dream has some semblance to real life. He thought hard to find some sameness but he could not find out the sameness in his dream and reality. So he stopped thinking. But after some time suddenly he found that the girl about whom he had dreamt and the girl who so sheepishly was just smiling at him was none other than the girl who resided in her room. Upon discovering this he was overwhelmed and overjoyed. He had the same liking for this girl. So naturally his joy knew no bounds and he galloped in free air to express his delight.
He was very much happy and now he thought how to make his dream come real. He was too young and juvenile to think how to make a simple dream come true. So he postponed his dreams and he again thought of ways to make his dream come true. He was not too good to talk about his dreams. He had no one to whom he could tell about his dreams so he remained silent. But silence could not help him because the dream made him go a bit restless.
One fine day when he was resting on his sofa which was too bright and had orange flowers on it, he heard the knock on his door. The door knocks loud enough to wake him from the call. He wondered what the knock was. He just idled again and found himself lost in his dreams but again the door knocks. The door opened and the door simply creaked. He was not surprised at this juncture. He just thought that this would be some of his dream so he just not bothered. He simply continued to daydream. After all his passion was to daydream. But the door began jerking this time and he honestly become nervous, he could not understand where the sound was coming from. He again looked here and there.
Everything was still in the night. The night was blank and the room was sparsely lit. He could not see anything. His nervousness was growing. He was a bit tall for his teen years so he rolled his legs and got upon from his sofa. He thought that this time he would just go to his room and rest in peace. But the noise came from outside the door. The noise was becoming louder so this time he decided to just investigate. He moved towards the door. He was confronted with a strange creature. The creature looked very small and the creature spoke some language which he as a teen could not understand. So he just stopped and stared looking at the creature. He was not nervous this time because he began to realize that dreams and fantasies do not go to waste and they also have some element of reality in them.
So at the first instance he tried to talk to the little creature that he had seen. The creature had a frail voice and the creature was too weak to look at. He had yellow colored rough looking robe and with the body there was the trade make flag on top of his head. The flag was too high and it moved in air whenever the creature tried to talk. Very much moved by the creature, Andy stooped down and he tried to hold the creature in between his hands. the creature winked at Andy and at that time Andy understood that the creature wanted to talk to him. So Andy did his little best to communicate with the creature. Andy spoke in monosyllable at first then graduated to tight sentences as he understood that the creature would not be armed with language skills. So Andy did his little best to accommodate to the creature. Remembering that such pixie creatures have ample magical powers so he narrated his fantasy and begged the creature to help him. The creature listened with intent as though he understood every word of his. After sometime he paused and looked at Andy with concern. Andy liked his look and wished that the creature would give him some magical wand. He just wished that creature would solve his problem. To his surprise the creature in fact gave him the magical wand. The wand was short and had a pixie stamp on it. the creature waved the wand and something very strange happened. Andy felt as if someone was coming. Andy was too much looking at the creature to be distracted. But Andy looked up he saw the same girl whom he had wished for coming his way. Andy looked up and tried to talk to her. The girl initially did not notice but suddenly she started to talk to Andy in very magical manner and the girl was speaking something that Andy liked.
Andy found that the girl was saying some simple things such as how are you, and others. Andy seized this opportunity and talked his heart out. The girl too was telling the same things. later Andy realized they both were talking and Andy was too busy with his small talk with the girl, that he simply ignored the creature. He forgot that some creature had actually come to him and helped him out. His forgetfulness was actually pre designed by the creature. It simply wanted to help Andy and it did not want Andy to remember anything.
Soon the friendship between the girl and Andy blossomed and they both became good friends. Andy was happy and he had thought that dreams do come true and every soul finds another and the journey of life continues. He had understood the true meaning of life and he was very contented. He had understood the fact that dreams are a very healthy way of expression. Whatever you wish may come true if you wish sincerely. Dreams do come true and life is made up of different elements to tell a very pleasing story for everyone.
