Bloody Fangs
Born 2003, F, from Vancouver, Canada.jpg)
Julia and Cheryl were best friends. That's what I, Jess Roberts was worried about. My mother died giving birth to my sister, Erika. My father died in war. All I've got is Erika and Julia. 'Cause Julia's my cousin. I'm worried about her because I think that Cheryl's a vampire. Yup, that's right. I know this because, one night , I was coming home from a school dance. I saw Cheryl crouched behind a rock. She was wearing a black sinky dress and a long velvet cape. Blood was splattered all over the front of her dress. I was so scared. So I ran. Julia and Cheryl always go camping in the park together every Friday night. That's what I was worried about. That she might bite Julia. But Julia was one of the only things I had left. So I told Julia. Then, she said: "Jess, you're just jealous. If your that eager, you can join us." I was furious. I was trying to save her, and she thought I was crazy.
On Friday night, I decided to go camping with them. To do some sleuthing. I mean, Julia invited me, so why not? The three of us rolled out our sleeping bags in the tent. After a round of stry-telling, marshmellow roasting, and star-gazing, we all decided to turn in. Julia and Cheryl dozed of quickly. After all, it was very late. But I didn't. I was wide awake. It was very very late, so eventually I fell asleep. But not for long. Around midnight, I woke up with a start. I had heard somethin. I glanced at Cheryl's sleeping bag. Empty. So maybe I wasn't daydreaming when I saw her one that night. Careful not to wake Julia, I got up and looked around. There were red footprints made of blood leading from her bag to a alley. Peeping in, careful not to give myself away, I saw Cheryl. She was sinking her teeth into a young boys neck. Julia's brother Matthew! I gasped. Someone tappen me. I turned around It was Julia. "Jess!" she exclaimed, startled at the sight of the two in the alley. "I told you so," I whispered. "Not the time, that's Matthew!" she whispered, terrified. "I know!" I said softly. Julia chaged fowards but I held her back and put my hand over her mouth. "No, she might bite us!" I reminded. "Flashlight!" Julia urged, her voice muffled. "Good idea," I replied. The tip of the sun started to rise, but barley suppling enough light for us to see. We both ran towards the tent, scrambling madly. When we got there, Julia snatched up the tent and our cell phones. Then we charged back to the alley. The sun rose highed, but still very dim. I wanted to stop and imagine it was just a dream, reassure myself and catch my breath while gazing at the sunrise. Wait, I thought. I'm the one who brought us into this mess. Sighing, I kept running. We arrived at the alley, breathing hard. "T-ther gone, Jess," puffed Julia, her hands on her knees. But no, looking up in the sky, I saw a black bat heading back towards the tent in the park
