The Emerald Dragon
Born 2001, F, from London, United Kingdom...The Emerald Dragon roared furiously, his blazing fire spitting everywhere. The villagers screamed, terrified, however, the dragon would take no mercy today. As the quivering villagers hid in their little houses, praying it would not find them, the dragon slowly picked up his enormous foot and then immediately crushed the houses, red liquid dripping out of them. People screamed; terrified and heavy-hearted at the thought of losing their loved ones. The dragon then made his way to the castle, determined to seek revenge even more tragic and petrifying than the villagers deaths.
The royalists scurried around, packing their valuables, little knowing it was far too late. The Emerald dragon stampeded into the castle, and found the king and queen still packing. He slowly lifted his huge foot...
Many years ago, the dragons and humans lived in peace, until that fateful day. The crops were not growing, (because of the little rainfall) and the villagers were starving. They were so desperate that when it was early dawn, they slaughtered all the dragons. The Emerald dragon was out hunting at that time, so he did not know the tragedy that was about to happen. As he came home he cried out in grief and sheer anger. Since then, he was alone and all he ever thought about was revenge.
...and his foot was about to ruthlessly kill them when a little spittle of fire suddenly fell into the little vegetable patch they grew in the palace and it stopped wilting and stood straight. They all looked, astounded. The king cleared his throat and spoke.
"Well! That was an improvement to our little patch! Ok, I'll make a deal with you. You go to Liut Town. There are dragons there."
The dragon suddenly roared, with a mixture of both anger and delight. "Yes, I know we didn't tell you. But we were afraid. So, if you don't mind, come back every year to fire our crops, starting today. You may be free." Declared the king. The dragon looked bewildered for a minute, but rose to the job. The crops were wonderful that year, and the dragon was no longer lonely. Everyone was happy, but no-one was more happy than The Emerald Dragon.
