my spring break

Spring Break Experience

During Spring break I had many things to do. For example I had a basketball tournament that I played with high school player even though I’m only 13. Even though we didn’t win anything we tried our best and that what counts to us. In total we had played 3 games throughout the day and we didn’t win any of them. It was a big disappointment but we had fun while we were there. The next day was what really counted for us because it was the elimination round for us. If we didn’t win the first round we weren’t going to play anymore for the rest of the tournament. We didn’t win and even worse one of our players from another school played with the team that we lost for the rest of the tournament. We felt betrayed and a lot like losers but we kept our heads high and that’s what counts for us.

Another thing I did during Spring Break was go to a track and field meet. There I also went with my friends but this time it was from a school activity. At the track meet I was going to do shot put and discus at the meet and I was so nervous there. Even worse was that my event was the first event out of all the events at the meet. I stretch and practice my shot and tried my hardest but I didn’t place. Right after that I had to go do discus and I was even more nervous because I thought I wasn’t going to place either. After I threw my first disc I felt happy because it was very far and one of the tops. I threw again and it was even farther this time but my third throw wasn’t so great. I walk off and wait until they announce the places. I actually thought I was going to get 6th place but I got 4th place instead. I was very happy with myself and was determined to work harder to get 1st place.

During the rest of my Spring Break I spent it at home. I would play on computer and go outside and practice basketball, I would also go outside and play with my dog Max. I spent this Spring Break very calm because it was like a vacation for me. A vacation away from school and from worries of homework or projects. I also played with my friend and his friend basketball. I beat them both because they both thought that girls can’t play basketball, and wouldn’t even know the rules to play in it. I liked this vacation because everything went well until I had to do my homework. That night I had to bring back my worries that I wanted to keep away and work on things that I have no touch in a week. I stop and stare at the piece of paper I grab my pen and force myself to write.
