Friendship never ends
Well we all have friends. some are close and some we call enemies but remember that even if you have an argument your friendship is still there. I will tell you a story that will show what will happen if you forget about all the problems and you will properly break your friendship forever.
Not long ago, I mean in 2013, there was an 11 year old girl called Lucy who used to always ask her mum if she could go to her best friend’s house, Claire, who was a very close friend indeed, and Lucy had known Claire ever since nursery. One day Lucy asked her parents and her parents said “NO you see too much of your best friend, you need to see some other people for a change.” You can properly guess what happened. Lucy went off in a strop because she really wanted to see her friend.
That night Lucy had to phone Claire and say the arrangements that they had made at school were off because her parents disagreed with it and that she had to go and see other people for a change. Claire thought that it was all a trick because Lucy had told a lie that day and it was a mean lie. Claire thought that their friendship had ended completely so she hung up. Lucy started to cry and talk to herself saying “What did I do, did I say something not very kind. Claire is my only friend at school and if I lose her I will have no one else to play with and that would make it so that I will have to move school.” There were more moans and groans from outside her bedroom and that kept on going thoughout the night.
The very next day Lucy would not get up and get ready for school because she was tired and so upset that she sat in bed for the whole hour that she should have been changing for school. “Lucy get up, if I have to come into your room I will not be happy, is that clear.” Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing the telephone was ringing. Lucy heard her mum picking up the phone then “Hi Claire, Lucy is not a very happy bunny this morning so she properly won’t be walking with you today. I am ever so sorry to have to tell you that, well I better get Lucy moving, I hope you have a great day today, bye.”
STOMP, STOMP, STOMP, Lucy knew what was coming. she quickly got up and yanked on her skirt and then pulled on her top and jumper and was sat on her bed brushing her hair. "What did I tell you Lucy Brown, if I have to open this door and you are not ready then there will be consequences for you young lady. Lucy get ready, Oh you are ready, your breakfast is on the table ok.” Once Lucy’s mum got downstairs then she shouted “CAN I HAVE HOT MILK AS WELL PLEASE BEACUSE I AM THIRSTY FOR A DRINK!”
Lucy got to school and there she saw Claire with a gang of other girls, Lucy knew that Claire was trying to make Lucy feel lonely and Lucy was not having it. STOMP, STOMP, STOMP “Get away from my friend, she may have told you everything but our friendship is not over ok it was just a mistake!” Claire was not having it either, her ex friend stomping into school and shouting at the people Claire was talking to. “You know nothing about friendship because all you know is how to upset people and get on their nerves, if this is how you are going to behave and ruin my fun then you can forget about being my friend because if that is how you are going to behave I am certainly not going to join in.”
For the rest of the day Lucy looked out the window and Claire looked up at the ceiling and they both ignored each other. When it was the end of the day they both bumped into each other in the locker room and they just stood and glared at each other until they knew they had to budge.
Lucy was just opening the front door when her dad said “Lucy is there something you have to explain to us or do we have to dig a hole and find out for ourselves?” Lucy’s baby brother Michel shouted “EXPLAIN, EXPLAIN, EXPLAIN!” Lucy had been found out and she was grounded for a whole month and was not allowed to see anyone.
I think Lucy learnt a viable lesson because how she reacted to the situation made everything worse than it already was. If you ever get in an argument calm yourself down and relax and talk to that person or an adult.
