Once, a flower bloomed in spring season. It was very beautiful, charming and had a very nice fragrance. To see its beauty it thought that here would be many who like me. Suddenly a butterfly came around it and started flying around it as if the fragrance and charm of flower were enticing it. Then the butterfly said to the flower, “dear flower! You are very beautiful and charming and your petals are very soft”. Then the butterfly said, “I like you so much, and you are so precious to my life”. Then the butterfly sat on the soft petals of the flower as if it hugged the flower. Then the butterfly requested of the flower, “may I taste your Sweet juice inside you?” The flower was happy to have such kind of lover and admirer. So it permitted the butterfly. Then suddenly a hummingbird came near it. It also admired the flower and said, “oh dear flower! You are also part of my life, to survive I also need the juice inside you”. Then it also requested to taste the flower. Now again flower was enchanted with so much praise, so it permitted it too. To hear this the butterfly got upset and it started a quarrel with the hummingbird and said,” I came first so only I’ll taste it”. The Hummingbird replied that “the flower gave me the right to, so I also taste it”. So in order to settle dispute the flower said that “I like both of you so both can use and taste me."

Both agreed, and after a few times and when evening came both said goodbye to flower and promised to meet next morning.

Flower spent all night in making conclusions about who loves, likes me most, But did not arrive at any conclusion. So finally it decided that….who will come to me first, likes me most, still I like the friendship of both, so both the Butterfly and the Hummingbird may use me forever. Then it awaited the morning to meet friends again.

Next morning the flower was surprised to see a new flower bloomed near it. It was looking more fresh and charming. Then the flower felt that it had lost some glow and charm. Then it realized that it has a short life, so it was possible that it cannot be looking as fresh as it was on the first day. But in spite of all it started waiting for its friends.

It felt great joy when it saw both the Butterfly and the Hummingbird were coming near it. But its delight turned into sorrow when it saw that both of them ignored it and moved to the new flower, by attraction of fresh charm. Moreover it got deep sorrow and surprise when it heard that both the butterfly and the Hummingbird were saying the same line of praise to the new flower which they were saying to it last day.

Now it realized the selfishness in their praise. But this sadness made it weaker and again the whole night it was thinking of the bad reality, and the next morning it faded entirely and did not wake up again.
