It was soon to be summer. Bekah planned to go on holiday to Rome, her first trip away on her own without her family. She planned to go with Emily, her best friend. Bekah was scared of flying but she wanted freedom, and independence. She was soon to be turning 20 and like any other person she wanted to see the world. As she stepped off the plane she felt a blast of heat hit her face.
‘’ Where should we head to first?’’ Emily inquired. ‘’Shall we go shopping?’’
‘’ I’m kind of tired but you go without me I’ll just sit by the pool and meet you in our room later?’’ said Bekah.
Emily went into town and Bekah placed her towel onto the sun bed. The pool was very quiet, you couldn’t hear a sound. Bekah got up to go to the bar, she slipped and fell straight into the arms of this blonde haired, blue eyes, faired skin, strong boy. For a moment their eyes locked and he was just stood there holding her for a while. He finally let go of Bekah.
‘’ Hi my names Ben.’’
‘’ Hello my names Bekah.’’
‘’ It’s very nice to meet you Bekah.’’
‘’ Thankyou for catching me.’’
Bekah stood there nervously like she was a little girl with a teenage crush. They both walked back to the pool side slowly.
‘’ Listen I know I’ve only just met you, but could I take you some where tomorrow?’’ Ben said politely.
‘’ erm, im not sure. Well I’m with my friend, but I suppose. I mean yes course you can.’’ Said Bekah.
Ben walked off and Emily walked over to Bekah.
‘’ So who was that boy? He looked fine.’’ Said Emily.
‘’ He’s called Ben, I hope you don’t mind I’m seeing him tomorrow?’’
‘’ Course I don’t, we all love a summer romance.’’ Emily said enthusiastically.
It was the day Bekah met Ben for the second time. He was nervously waiting for her near the pool. Bekah was wearing a stunning maxi dress, they both smiled as they saw eachother. Bekah was wondering where he was taking her.
‘’ I hope you’ve got your swim suit, because we’re going to the aquarium where I work to swim with dolphins.’’ said Ben.
Ben jumped into the pool where the dolphins were.
He shouted ‘’ Come on Bekah, or do you need pushing in.’’
‘’ No I’m coming, 3, 2, 1!’’ yelled Bekah.
She jumped in splashing Ben. They started to have a water fight; Bekah was swimming away from him. He caught her from behind and pulled her close.
‘’ Come on then what you waiting for..’’
He whistled the dolphins over. Bekah and Ben held onto the dolphin as it glided them along the water. Bekah was laughing with joy.
‘’ They’re beautiful.’’ said Bekah.
Time soon passed and it was getting dark. They both stepped out the pool.
Bekah said ‘’ I’ve had a lovely time, thankyou.’’
Ben drove her back to the hotel. As she was about to get out the car, he ran round and held the door open for her. They both looked into each other’s eyes; he leaned in to kiss her.
‘’ You can’t kiss me without it being a proper date,’’ Bekah said cheekily.
‘’ How about if I say it was a date?’’
‘’ You’ll have to wait now.’’ Said Bekah.
Bekah leaned out to shake his hand.
Bekah said ‘’ It was nice seeing you.’’
‘’ and you’’ replied Ben.
Bekah stood and watched Ben walk away. She felt on top of the world. She walked into the hotel room and there was Emily waiting for some gossip.
‘’ So how was it?’’
‘’ It was great, I got to swim with dolphins.’’
‘’ Bekah did you really think I meant that .. spill!’’ said Emily.
‘’ Well he leaned in to kiss me but I pulled away, not because I didn’t want too. Just I don’t know where this is going to go.’’
Bekah were gossiping to Emily all night about her date with Ben. The next morning she woke up she got a phone call from the reception saying some boy had left some flowers for her and if she could go down to collect them. Bekah excitedly walked down to reception, and Ben was standing there with these flowers. Bekah thought he was too good to be true. She let him give her a peck on the cheek.
Bekah wasn’t one of those girls that always had a boyfriend. She was waiting for the right one. Someone who would brighten her days, which would hold her and never let her go, who would be like her bestfriend and who she could see a future with. Days went by and Bekah saw Ben almost everyday. Bekah didn’t realise her holiday was haunting her as it was shadowing to an end. It was the day Bekah was going home.
‘’ Please don’t leave.’’ Ben pleaded.
‘’ I have to; I’ve had the most wonderful time with you. It’s been a dream. Though every dream comes to an end.’’
‘’ But Bekah I know we’ve only known eachother for 2 weeks but I.. I mean I.. I Love You. You are the most wonderful girl I have ever met. You make me smile like no-one else ever has. I’ve madly fallen for you.’’
Bekah had tears in her eyes, she hated good byes and this made it even harder. She couldn’t face saying good bye so she ran away and hopped into her taxi to the airport. Ben ran after her you could see in his eyes he were heartbroken, but she was long gone. Bekah arrived home and didn’t know what to do with her self. The next day she went to work in her local cafe. She was busy serving a customer and as she turned round, there he was.
‘’ Bekah i couldn’t let you slip away, I would never of forgiven myself if I had. So here I am. I’m here for you; I want you to be a part of my life. Forever and always.’’ Said Ben romantically.
‘’I know it’s only been two weeks but I now know that I want you forever and always.’’ Said Bekah.
She leaned in to kiss him; he grabbed her and pulled her closer. Their lips locked.
‘’ Now wasn’t that worth the wait.’’ Bekah said laughing.
‘’ I would wait a lifetime for you, now I’ve found you I’m never letting you go.’’
Bekah said optimistically ‘’ you never know what’s waiting round the corner, as one door closes another one opens. As someone walks out another walks in. You never know what the future holds for you. Wait for what you deserve, I did. Now I’m the most happiest I’ve ever been. I’ve not only got the perfect fiancé but I’ve got the most supportive bestfriend.’’
Bekah’s parents did not agree with her getting engaged so young. So they waited. 2 Years later Bekah had her fairytale wedding with all the support and love from her family and friends. Then a year later her life got even better she did not only have a new husband but a new member to the family.
They called him Thomas.
