The Guinea-pigs
The Guinea-pig

Introduction:
The guinea pig is a story based on the life of two guinea pigs. One is called sandy and the other one Billy. I will not be able to tell you anything else for now because then I will have nothing to write about.

Story:
Sandy, a guinea-pig who has a brown/orange head and a white back, and Billy, a guinea-pig who has got a black body and beige stripes, are two guinea-pigs who are soon going to belong to Arabella and Sébastien Flanagan.

So, one day Arabella Flanagan went to her friend’s house to play. Arabella had had so much fun there (as usual) because she was playing with the guinea-pig (not Sandy, not Billy, but Kawet, her friend’s guinea-pig). It was so much fun. So, the next day she went up to her dad and asked if SHE could have a guinea-pig. Her dad said:
“Yes, I mean we’ll see. Ask mummy.”
And Arabella said: “Ok.”
So she went to ask her mother and her mother said:
“Have you asked your father? I say yes if he says yes.”
So Arabella went back to her father to tell him what her mum had said and so he said: “We’ll see if this afternoon we can go to Gamm Vert. We’re going to go past Draguignan anyway.”

So then when they got to Gamm Vert, they went to ask for a guinea-pig and the lady said:
“Ah, j'ai plus de cochon-d'inde.” Which means in English, I don't have any guinea-pigs left.
But then Arabella saw a little thing running around in one of the cages and it was the last guinea-pig left.
And so she said: “Isn't that a guinea-pig? (in French)”
And the lady said: “Oh yes (in French).”

So then they bought the guinea-pig and the cage and went home.
They named the guinea-pig Sandy because of his brown/orange head.

It took one month for Sandy to get settled in the Flanagan’s house.
And one day, Arabella’s mother said that they should get a guinea-pig for Sébastien, Arabella’s younger brother, and to keep Sandy company.
So they went to a friend’s house because that friend had baby guinea-pigs that they were giving away. So they took one and named him Billy and since then, Sandy and Billy have been looked after.

Don’t forget that in August it’s going to be Billy’s 1st birthday!
Love
Xxxx
