An Ace Witness

An Ace Witness(David Aoloch Bion) Agot was a good liar in the village.
One day he went to the forest, he found a Fox trapped in the trap, he came running with loudest alarm “Elephant, Elephant … is trapped by the trap’’.
About 40 men went out with spears and they found no elephant but a Fox. They returned with the hilarious story.

On another day, he moved from the village to cattle camp. when the man called Mabior in the camp asked him about the health and condition of their kin and kith in the village, Agot told him “Your mother had stolen a goat and slaughtered it.”
Mabior came to village and found it was not true.
When Agot returned to the village he was asked about the cattle camp, he said the cattle had been raided and were taken away, many young were killed.
The villagers were shocked, a woman fainted, all people ran to the cattle camp. they found it as a lie.

Agot became notorious for his hilarious and tragic lies in the villages all around.
Mabior became regularly opposed to anything Agot said. Mabior swore that if Agot said that an enemy is coming he would not run.

One day, Agot was collecting dry stalk in his farm. Mabior, who he deceived some years back, came running being chased by some people who caught him committing adultery with a woman.
“Agot, I don't want to be killed, what shall I do” Mabior asked
“You hide in this stalk”
Mabior hid in the stalk. Agot covered him with more stalk.
When the men chasing him arrived, they asked
“Where is the man who came running?”
One man among those men asked ‘’He is in this stalk?‘’
Agot showed “Yes.‘’ one man said ‘’Agot is a great liar.’’ he added
‘’the man is not hiding the stalk, let us go, he is delaying us” another man echoed.
All the men agreed because they'd known him as a liar and they left and ran away and left the man hiding in stalk.
After the men had gone. Mabior came out from the stalk and asked,
“Why did you tell those people?”
“I told them because, you were there” Agot said
“What if they killed me?”
“Should they have killed you, it would have been a testament to the community that I speak truth”
“Now, God save me, I am not killed and you remain the greatest liar to the whole world”
“Yes, of course, I will be a liar to the whole World, but you will bear witness about me and you will be my Ace witness.
