Dr. Angry

By Greg Rolwes

Robert rejoiced as he pranced down the hallway. The A held tight to his
fingers. As he exited the building he felt odd. The next thing he knew he was
drenched in water. He heard laughter and looked up. It was Joshie.
“Loser!” Joshie shouted.
“You should be more careful or Dr. Angry will get you.” Robert shot back.
“Who’s that? Your mom!” Joshie laughed
Robert walked on. He didn’t care for pranks. He had bigger responsibilities
that were none at all.
**********************************************
The next day Robert was entering his first class when he saw Joshie. Joshie
was tall; he had blonde hair and a chubby face. He looked weak and was, but he
acted differently.
“When I think of hell, I think of staring at your face for eternity.” Joshie said.
The class laughed.
“You should be more careful or Dr. Angry will get you.” Robert said it in a
much calmer tone this time. Like his mind was wandering. As he said this the class
gained a eerie silence. Joshie seemed to be the only one that didn’t care.
**********************************************
The days went by, all the same. At some point each day Joshie would make
fun of Robert. The same phrase was repeated over and over. On the 15 day of this
Joshie felt extra confident. As Robert got lunch Joshie smacked his tray to the
ground.
“You don’t deserve to eat the same food as me!” Joshie shouted.
Joshie threw a punch. Then another. And another. It continued until a teacher
came running over.
“Joshie, go to the principal’s office right now. Let’s get you to the nurse
Robert.”
The nurse began to treat Robert when the words came out, “He should be
1more careful or Dr. Angry will get him.”
“What?” the nurse asked.
**********************************************
That night Joshie was sitting on his couch when he heard the door open,
“Hey, Mom.”
Joshie turned, but there was no one there. “Hello?” He muttered. Then it all
went black.
The next thing he knew he heard the roar of a chainsaw, and it was all over.
Joshies mom came in to see her son lying in a pool of blood. His body scattered
around the room. Written in blood on the wall1 was this sentence:
1 It was later examined by blood tests that the blood on the wall was not the blood of Joshie.

DON’T worry. I’m a doctor. He needed this.
Joshie’s mother was screaming uncontrollably. She ran out the door and saw
a figure running off in the distance. The figure turned, but Robert’s face was covered
with a mask.
