Not Like That

The office was turning blue. Night had drawn a strange shadow falling on every part of it. She sat down watching the road's kerbs looking like pearl shells and the lights of across side apartments turning on with a pencil swinging between her gentle fingers. She felt his footsteps before hearing them when he passed by carrying his coffee mug to turn her stool then lean next to her. "Hi there" he whispered while putting his mug aside.

She did not answer back. His breaths were so warm and she started to feel her heart pumping fast. The announcement of embarrassment and shyness soon filled her whole body. She was a shy person and always avoided intimate courses and secretly, wanted a special one.

He gripped her next to his chest and crossed his hands tidily behind her back then let his soft beard roll over her neck towards her lips and filled them with tender kisses as gently as he could. She did not have the time to resist, and the time she tried to loose herself out, she started to enjoy it and kissed him back. "What's going on?" She asked with trembling voice trying to get away from his hot kisses. "It's ok", he replied with rushing voice trying to make sure not to waste another chance to start kissing her all over again. When he squeezed her more she managed to crowd her both hands between her breast and his chest then pushed him a little bit forward and said: "Yes it's ok, but I don't think it's right". He looked at her and gave a sigh of a warm breath and burned her cheeks with passionate glance and offered another long kiss. She was responding even more but her hands against his chest encouraged her to ask him to stop! He burst into a soft laughter and rolled his bearded chin on hers and replied; "How am I supposed to stop when you are kissing me back?" She laughed too, and said: "That's it; I want you to stop kissing me so that I won't kiss you back."

The two started laughing and leaned their head against each others. He never had loosened his crossed hands behind her back; and this time he squeezed her even more and buried his lips in her nice long neck. "Ok let's stop and talk about it." She cried. "Talk about what?" He started to get tempered and let loose a little. "It's not right", she replied and wiped her face with her hands smelling the passionate fragrance of his hands. "There is no wrong or right, it's what you do and what you don't", he made sure to put this right in the middle of her both hands when he bowed and kissed them. "We both want it."

She pulled her hands back, and smiled. She said with a confident voice: "Well you have forgotten to add something to your philosophical phrase. It's whether things you do are the way you are built or not. It's not how I am built, and I'm not like that; I'm sorry."

Her strong stable tuned voice made him astonished what strong "brakes" she really had. Retrieving her different cultural attitudes once she started working in his office had brought a backup plan inside his mind and heart while he was moving away from her nice filled body. "Well it is still ok" he replied, and walked away.

The next morning was a tough one for her. She was so afraid that last night's rejection would turn into her job's rejection. When she reached her desk, she noticed a bunch of red flowers planted between her pen's keeper and photos. When she smiled, her sight caught a ring box buried inside one of the red roses. The note was "For a very special lady: Not like that.. How about this?" She became reddish, and even more embarrassed to react, especially when she saw him walking towards her with a big smile. "Just think about it; I'm not in a hurry!" He said in a low voice. "I really care about you, and we can start thinking about a serious relationship from 'that'! Do you 'Do'?"

She took the ring box and opened it, then gave a long sigh before putting it on her finger. "Exactly like that, and thank you for respecting my principles. Yes. I 'Do'" she replied with a restless voice staring at the ring sparkling against her little tears that came out from her eyes.

She knew that such romantic scenes could never happen in reality, but
still, it did happen, once upon a time!
