Gust of Something

A spiral of wind swaddled me up, scooping me off my feet. The sudden rush of fear that I had, yeah that stayed on Earth. I did not know what was going to happen next, but I was ready.

A flash of pink roses flashed into my memory like a lightning bolt. As I swirled up this twister something happened. I became enraged at the thought of my uncle leaving me and in that moment a devilish soul is released from my body. He then is swept away like ashes in the rain. Another memory: Grandma Velma’s funeral, the sadness overwhelms my body. Before I knew it was the soul of sadness; me as a five year old child weeping. A surge of emotions and memories flowed through my body; before standing in front of me is him.

The wind has stopped, it's him and we're both suspended in air. I look down, my family is there mourning over a body in a hospital bed. He waves and I drop back to my Earth form. The fall is so violent that my body rises off the bed, causing my family to be startled.

Doctors rush in trying to revive me but the last thing I hear is a single strain of a sound…
