Five Minutes

Five Minutes(maria gloria) One....
Walls...all painted in white blinded me
I heard voices...mostly unfamiliar
It's hurting my ears...I tried to speak
Yet I couldn't utter even a single word

Two....
Where's Mama and Papa
Look...I'm still here
I could feel the blood seeping through my veins
It hurts, indeed
As the respirator starts
Life flooded me back...but too slim

Three...
Someone whispered unto my ear
"Live" the voice said...a bit unclear
A hand reached for my wrist...looking for my pulse
Hey is the end almost near
No, I deserve to live
After all, I'm Daddy's super girl

Four....
My senses' finally came to a blur
But the pain keeps on taunting me
Oh where's the anesthetic? I couldn't bear it
I pleaded...words still wouldn't come
Now...I'm bleeding to death

Five...
Finally...the voices stopped
The doctors ceased to work on me
Where's Mom and Dad?
As the final gust of air escaped my lungs
A single tear fell on my cheeks
It's over....
Five minutes...
And I'm now...lifeless
