The Funniest Basketball Game Ever!
By: Tiffany Vu

After school I went to my coach’s classroom. My teammates were already there. They were so excited. My coach was giving all of us our basketball clothes and we changed. The team that we were facing was South Shore. I used to go there and both boys and girls basketball teams are super good.

“I bet we are going to lose again. We only won one single game.” I said to my friend Rahimah. I said that pretty loud though so this is what one of my teammates said. “We shouldn’t bring ourselves down like that. Just play and try your hardest.”

We went out the court and started practicing. Everyone was cheering for us and it was super loud. By the way this was a home game. I was the fastest and probably the best on the team. But my coach doesn’t let me play a lot, but that’s fine, it was my first time on a team. Of course it’s her decision and I like my coach, she is nice! The game between us and South Shore was about to start and as always I was nervous.

The game started and I wasn’t going to start. It was so noisy, people cheering so loud! During the game I saw a really good player, on their team. She was shaking people. If I and the girl went one on one then we would be a tie because I can do the same thing as her! I’ve been doing it for years. Their team just kept on scoring. We also scored but we were still behind.

Around the middle of third quarter, my friend Angel tried to grab the ball. No offence but the fat girl was holding on to the ball so Angel tried to grab it but the girl was so strong and flung Angel. “Oh holy bananas!” I said out loud. I was laughing as well but from the looks of it she wasn’t embarrassed at all! Her mouth was wide open and she was surprised.

My coach ran to her and she was perfectly fine. No injuries at all. She was still a 100%. I was in a couple of times and then I went back to the bench.

The game was over and we lost the game. After the game I just got my stuff, got in mom’s car and left.

CONCLUSION
My favorite sport was basketball and I tried out for the team for a reason. This story was to my favorite coach and teacher, Ms. Abby, A.K.A Gabrielle Pierce.
