Anna's Story: One of Parental Abuse(Madam Sabi) I call myself Anna; I’m like you, only I have a dark past. I cut, I have since I was in the fourth grade, & I’m not a virgin.

I was in 10th grade, I’ve never talked much and I’ve been shy ever since one day after school. My dad’s a drunk, ok? So I went home and my dad’s “Friend” raped me. My dad just stood there and watched; when he got done he paid my dad for it. Ever since then I’ve never been the same. A week after that I cut for the first time, and then when I got into 6th grade I tried drugs, that messed me up. I started smoking pot to get rid of the pain. My dad doesn’t care; he just wants the money for the sex. He abuses me every day. Tells me I’m a no good slut, tells me the world would be better off without me, that I’m the reason everyone’s so unhappy. He tells me he hates my guts, I should have never been born.

School’s not much better, but at least I’m not hurt there. Well not as bad, I get bullied every day. To everyone at school I’m just a freak. The kids at school are harsh, but you learn to ignore it and just use the blade as an escape. I had one friend, Drew, he helped with everything. But one day in 7th grade he saw my cuts and told my teacher. I got sent off for a week. When I came back, my dad welcomed me by making me sleep with seven guys. One for every day I was gone, he said “I’ve got to get my money”. So I just took my punishment and went on. Since that day I started cutting on my leg where Drew couldn’t see. He thought I quit, I lied and said I did.

Then one day, I couldn’t take it, I overdosed on pain killers. I took twenty of the same pills, it knocked me out cold. I was lucky, I passed out while talking to Drew, he knew something was wrong and called the cops. So once agin I was sent off. This time I stayed for almost a year. I told them about what my dad and his friends did.

Now I’m in a foster home with a family that loves me, I haven’t cut in two years, and I graduated from high school not too long ago. You know that guy Drew? He is my husband going on a year now. I love him, and he loves me. He kisses the scars that are left and told me to never give up. You know what? I didn’t, and look at me now. Happy Anna!
