Thinking back to primary school, friends were something you'd bargain for. Friends were something you had to keep you company as you were chased out of the school toilets at break times by astatic teachers. In high school friends were people you'd giggle with, you'd do the stupidest things together. Sometimes at the end of the day I'd lie back against my pillows knowing that I was lucky to be alive. Pouring over gossip magazines for hours as you all crowded round mirrors to check each others hair and makeup lines. Once you reach adulthood however friends are the people who cling to you as you sob, your shrieks raw with pain all because of one man who didn't love you enough to turn up at the altar. Friends are the people who'll drag you back from the pub after a 'pint or two' and watch over you 'till morn.
Then when your life's before your eyes and you're fading away, faces appear in front of you, and you realise that every part of your life you've had someone there for you. Looking down from above, as your friend, now the one with the heart wrenching sobs, stands at the altar retelling every moment you had together. There'd been laughter, drama, fear and heartbreak but you'd been together through it all, and now you see. There is no greater love...
There is no greater love...(Caitlyn)
