All Albert wanted to do in his life was to lock himself in his closet and be in the dark. One day Albert did the same he did every day. But during his time his drunk father was smoking inside the house again. Until the father passed out it was fine but when he did his smoke went into the garbage can. The can was set on fire and that spread throughout the house.

The fire alarms went off but Albert could not hear them in his closet. He was in silence. His mother dragged the father out of the house. Seconds later she remembers about Albert. She ran into the buring house screaming "Albert, the house is on fire get out of there". But he did not hear her.

He continued to think to himself in that dark silent room. His mother ran to his bedroom knocking on the door yelling the same thing. "Mom is that you?" Albert said. "yes get out, there is a fire in the house" she said. He went to the door and unlocked it. But when he turned the handle it did not open. "Mom I cannot get out" he said.

The mom did not know what to do so she kicked at the door but it did not budge. She just screamed for help. There was only one more chance for her to escape so she did. The firemen came to put the fire out and to get the kid. When they go to the door it was open and the boy was gone.

The mother now screeching to find her son. She put up posters of him, filed a missing child report, but they never found him. For days and nights she cried and cried and cried. He was to never to be seen again by her.

One year later in a small town in Canada. The boy was found hitch hiking down a road.
