Different (Poem)
Born 1998, M, from New Jersey, United StatesI never seem to see what others see.
I never flee when others flee.
I never seem to smell what others smell.
And I don't like to dwell where other dwell.
But I have always been different,
and I guess I like the way I am.
When I walk outside,
I like to smell the breeze,
And try to hug all of the trees.
When I see the homeless on the street,
I like to give them a treat.
But I have always been different,
and I like the way I am.
When I see a fly buzzing by,
I smile and I say “Good bye!”
I try to avoid stepping on grass,
For to me, stepping on grass is like stepping on glass.
But I have always been different,
and I love the way I am.
Different (Poem)(C. Johnson)
I never seem to see what others see.
I never flee when others flee.
I never seem to smell what others smell.
And I don't like to dwell where other dwell.
But I have always been different,
and I guess I like the way I am.
When I walk outside,
I like to smell the breeze,
And try to hug all of the trees.
When I see the homeless on the street,
I like to give them a treat.
But I have always been different,
and I like the way I am.
When I see a fly buzzing by,
I smile and I say “Good bye!”
I try to avoid stepping on grass,
For to me, stepping on grass is like stepping on glass.
But I have always been different,
and I love the way I am.
