Dark in the Mind
Born 1979, F, from Washington, United StatesHe felt the edges of his mind fade and the black started to push out the light. His eyes shifted side to side looking for the enemy lurking in his mind. His hands twitched and balled into fists. He felt anger surge thru him and he knew his enemy was near. The light faded to a dim haze and he felt consciousness leave his body. He stared trying to stop the takeover and gain back his control but it was useless. He knew it was over and he would wake up with blood on his hands as the demon lurking in him would kill again. He knew it was the demon and not him because sometimes the demon would whisper to him to kill another person. He felt tears well in his eyes as the world went black.
He opened his eyes and felt something warm, wet, and sticky on his hands. His craned his neck and felt sick to his stomach. The demon had made him kill again and he didn't know when it would happen again. He sat up and saw that the t.v was on and set to the news. When he was wondering why he heard the annoucer say "Another murder has been commited by The Rippper in a abandoned alley and we advise everyone to remain indoors at night." He knew he was The Ripper and that he had killed that woman. He didn't know why the demon liked to kill women or why he liked to rip them up. He just wanted the demon to leave his body and be on his way.
He got to his feet and walked towards the sink. He turned it on and started to wash the blood from his hands and watched the pink water flow down the sink. He then heard a loud banging sound on the door and whipped his head towards the door. "This is the police! Open Up!" He heard someone yell behind the door. He didn't say anything or try to open the door. He then saw the door come crashing open and them scream "Dont move!" He stared ahead and felt doom fill him. He would be punished for the crimes of the demon. He then started shouting "I DIDN'T DO IT. IT WAS THE DEMON!" He kept on yelling it over and over.
He then blacked out as a cop struck him the world went black. The rest of his days were mostly trials and people yelling. Sometimes at these trials the demon yould come out of nowhere and take control. Then he was forced to go to a white room with a table, bed, and a few books. He felt safe there and knew the demon couldn't kill in here. The pills they gave to him helped stop the demon and he loved how freely he could think. His thoughts weren't clouded and he didn't worry about blacking out and not knowing what he was doing. He knew he would be safe in his new home and felt no fear. He was as happy as he had ever been.
