It was to be just someone that he had to kill and that was it. That was what Don told himself, it was just something that he did very well for the mob. He never thought of the feelings of the family before he killed this person. Or the fear that one person would have on their face before he killed him or her. To Don it was just like any other job, he did it then came back to the club and got his money.

This time was different. he saw her come out of a shop. Amy was a red head with such beauty. There was just something that Don just could not kill her. He knew that he had to do something, or they would kill him and send someone to kill Amy in his place. That was just not what he wanted, so he had to talk to her. Before he could act there was a black van coming down the road. He jumped to get Amy down on the ground, out of the way of the gun fire. "How did you know they were after me?" Don got off Amy and brushed off the dirt from his suit. "I know who they are, I work for the same boss, I was told that I was the one that had to kill you. I saw you and I just could not do it." Amy just stood there for a moment going over all that had just happened. "So what is going to happen now?" It was a question that Don did not think of at that moment. All he knew was that he had to get Amy out of there before they came back for one more shot at her.

Don knew a guy that could help with all the things to just vanish. It was a old farm that they went to get the papers and change the way that they looked. She came out as a blond and Don just could not keep his eyes off of Amy, she was just so beautiful. "I feel I have to tell you the reason why the mob wanted me dead, I am a reporter and was under cover for a story. They caught wind that I was going to publish my story about the mob and you were sent to kill me." Don knew what she was saying was true, that was what his boss had told him. He pulled her to him and held her. She did not pull back, she seemed to feel safe in his arms.

The next day Don and Amy boarded a plane to Texas where they would be safe. It was strange that the one that Don did not kill was the one that he fell in love with. On the plane he held Amy`s hand, looked her in the eyes and told her he loved her forever. It was something great that came out of something that could of been very bad.
