love can make or break you

Dear Diary,
Sometimes you just get lost, not knowing which direction to go in. Making decisions becomes a blur and you get lost in what you want. Sometimes you’re so close and involved that you only see it from your perspective. We all choose the easy options, like running away. Someone once told me to take a risk, a risk your scared to take may turn out to be the best risk you’ve ever took. Regret is something that haunts you, we need the challenge, and we need to do, something we aren’t prepared for and something where we go in with our eyes shut. I didn’t take the risk; I didn’t have the guts to do something out of the ordinary for once. I chose to run away and push the people I loved further away. You can avoid the things you don’t want to see or don’t want to hear but when they catch you up it’ll be harder.
The risk I didn’t take turned out to be the worst decision I had made, now I have to watch and take a back seat. Sometimes it’s better to play the game than watch it. A game is unpredictable; you hold control and can change it. A watcher can only observe and has no control in the matter at all, they can only hope for the best possible result.
Don’t be the one that sits back and watches, be the brave one, the one that does something with no fear, not worrying about the consequences. Sometimes we can be too cautious, we have free will. We can do and achieve anything we want. Don’t be the one that runs away, be the one that takes control.
A year earlier..
‘’ Take a risk on me..’’ He said.
‘’I can’t, I’m too afraid to, I don’t want to lose everything we already have, and my bestfriend.’’
‘’you’ll never know unless you try.’’ Confidently he said.
She avoided the conversation. Time went on.. they drifted apart.
Today..
‘’I heard you’re seeing someone new.. ’’ Joe said.
She was sat a few feet away, her heart dropped.
‘’ Do you still have feelings for him?’’ Emily said.
‘’Course I do, however much he is my world, I want him to be happy even if that isn’t with me. It may be hard to watch but I sat and watched back then, now it’s safe to say I’ll have to do that again.’’
Love is something so powerful, one that can make or break your heart.
Dear Dairy,
I hate being one to panic about everything and letting my anxiety get the better of me. I hate being the girl that sits back in the corner that nobody knows about. I want my voice to be heard, for once even if it’s only for a few minutes. I’m not one to stand infront of others; I’m not one who’s confident. I see my friends with these bubbly personalities and outgoing and not afraid of talking infront of our class, but not me. Sometimes I wish I could erase all the fear and be like them. I’ve always wanted to be able to sing infront of an audience but I’m petrified. My best friend Emily she just goes up performs like nothing can stop her and I respect her for that. Though what you realise is, you’re the only one stopping you. If you want to be heard then you just have to go for it, I guess nerves are always a good thing. If you want something so bad, you should go and get it.
My Fear List
Going on an aeroplane.
Falling in love.
Not knowing what to expect in the future.
Growing up.
That’s my fear list, what’s yours?
One day I’m going to overcome these whether that’s going sky diving to let my heart fall in love.
‘’There’s always a positive out of negative.’’ Brooke said.
Emily insisted for an example.
Brooke gave several examples, though Emily didn’t seem convinced.
Fear isn’t there too stop you, it’s there to give you the drive to overcome it.
One thing I remember clearly before he passed away, he’d say to me;
’Always follow your heart.’’
