In My Fathers Legacy

In my fathers legacy

It was Christmas morning 1952 and I was unwrapping my last present from dad. Unfolding and ripping the paper off excitedly when I found out it was a bow and arrow. I wasn't expecting it so I was quite surprised. I mean, why would I need it? but still it was pretty cool. My dad said "this is my grandpa's bow, it's very special so take care."

I went to sleep happily that night not knowing all the bad fortune that was to come. Suddenly I woke up at 2 o'clock in the morning there was a stressed atmosphere the dogs were barking like crazy I ran into my parents room. What I just saw was horrible I thought I was still having a nightmare " WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!!!" I yelled at myself. My mum was crying calling the 111 and ... My dad was having a HEART ATTACK I screamed and then everything went black and I hit the ground cold and hard.
I woke up vision blurry and I heard the familiar beep beep from the hospital I like watching crime investigation movies the cruel reality snaps back to me OH MY GOSH that wasn't just a nightmare. I seemed to be sleeping on the uncomfortable plastics chairs of the waiting room in the hospital my mum beside me " darling your dad past away last night" tears welling in her eyes.
From that day on Archery was my favourite thing to do that was one of the only things he left me so I made it my mission to perfect my skills in honour of him.
After school I always walk down to the forest with my bow I dream up trolls, knights, castles and army's of thousands. I peep my head around the protection of the massive pine tree a fierce looking goblin is guarding the golden amulet I quietly and slowly drew my bow from the quiver I load it cautiously, I can't let him hear me and SNAP! Green blood uzes out of his eye ;perfect shot I congratulate myself. Now I sneak up and steel the golden key I sprint back home I don't care about prickles and the long grass wiping against my legs.
I just run until SMACK I crash to the ground this is reality now. I get up not putting wait on my sore leg " what was that" I say to myself concerned. I turn around to have I look, it was a small metal box how interesting. I realised it had a lock on it I was so disappointed but then I remember that key I found well that was real, well I might as well give it a try. I slid the key in and twisted it BONG the box opened. Inside was a very old looking note it read this note is addressed for my daughter Anabeth this is were I used to play with my dads bow and arrow here I hope you enjoy it just like me. After you have read this look up. I was shivering with excitement I looked up to see the most amazing tree house.
