From Rags to Riches

From Rags to Riches(N Thomas) Alas, School had ended and Jones was seeking admission in some of the reputed institutions. Unexpectedly, his loving father passed away, leaving all the debts to Jones and his housewife mom, Dalia.

Creditors started approaching the gates of the house, which made the living all the more difficult. With no source of income, Jones took the initiative and started selling Newspapers at the street. The income was just enough for the household to meet the daily needs. Jones dream of becoming a pilot was becoming more and more distant. Inspite of that, he was struggling to pay the outstanding debts sooner or later.

Jones dream fading away started disappointing him and paving the way for frustration. He wished for some way he could get rich soon and eliminate all the problems of his life.

One day when he was strolling along the beach shore, he found a bottle with some liquid inside. The top label mentioned "magic drink". Amazed, he planned to give it a try and took a sip out of it. Jones did not feel any difference and thought of it as someone joking.

After reaching home, he rang the door bell. Mom Dalia opened and yelled "who has knocked the door?" Jones then understood that mom Dalia could not see him and the drink made him invisible before the world. Jones said "Mom, it's me". Mom Dalia then realized that Jones was invisible and before she panicked Jones told her all that happened, about how he found and drank the liquid, which made him invisible.

Jones visited the nearest bank and went inside easily, as people could not see him at all. Surprisingly, he reached the cashier's desk and took one bundle of notes worth USD 10,000 and came out easily. Since it was completely folded into his palms, the notes also disappeared.

He took a bus for which he did not need to pay anything and got nearby his home. Reaching his home, he handed over the money to mom Dalia and assured her that all their problems were going to be solved soon. Mom was sad on one end about Jones being invisible as she could not see him, but happy that their lives were again going to revive as before.
