Out to get something
Born 1970, M, from Punta gorda/F.L., United StatesIt was just something that Robin had dreamed of doing all her life. That was to leave to be free of the control that the family had over her. She knew that it was just not healthy what she had to go though. It was as if she was in a jail and she did not like the way that she was treated. That her old sister was treated like gold, she was treated like trash. There were times that she would go out to the woods and cry. There she could get away from all that was happening at the house. She knew that soon that she would be gone for she had planned to leave after she finished school. The plan was to become a writer for a newspaper. It was something that her family did not know anything about. All they thought she was going to do was to go to school out west.
The time came and some strange thing that she felt as this was the last time she would see her family. Robin knew that she would not be coming back to this place. There was not much that she would miss, but the woods. That was her place where she could hide and think of what might happen when she did leave this place. It was hard to lie to her family but it was something that she had to do. She made her way to the bus station where she was there by her self. It was something that she knew was going to happen for the family did not care. They had other things that had to be done than to see one of their own go off. As the town got smaller she knew in her heart that this was the best thing that she could do. Years later she would look back and know that what she did was what had to be done.
