“Us, Coline. We were made to fit on each other’s needs. We were born to feel and see each other. But now you’re becoming blind. Stop letting the anger cover your eyes, Coline! Michelle and I didn’t do anything!”

I stabbed my finger at his hard chest. “You know who you are? You’re the man fueled by lies and love. I love you for your passionate love, but I loathe you for your unending lies. God, I was so gullible! This is the third time, Hunter, and I’m not letting it pass.” I clenched my jaw. “You think I can’t do what you’re doing?” Challenge blazed in words.

Hunter gently clasped my cheeks, but his voice was laced with fury and determination. “Don’t you dare, Coline. You’re only mine. No one deserves you better than me. Only me, Coline. You. Are. Mine.”

I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply. I promised myself to stand still and froze my heart. It seemed that I was fulfilling it.

I opened my eyes and stared at his warm brown eyes. “I believed that before, Hunter.” I pushed him as hard as I could and he stepped back a little. I clutched away the symbolic necklace he gave me and threw it hard at him.

I smirked at him before I icily said, “But remember this from now on, Hunter. I’m. Not. Yours. To. Take.”

I turned and walked away, feeling numb and cold. And I was surprised when no tears, not even a single one, came out from my eyes.
