The Photo Warrior Chronicles
Born 1975, M, from Vancouver, CanadaJason Kenzie, from Youtube sensation, Life Through My Lens: The Photo Warrior Chronicles, was caught off guard by a 900 pound Grizzly while trekking through the Canadian Wilderness just south of the Northern Yukon.
Jason Kenzie, a Professional wildlife and pet photographer from Vancouver Canada, was following tracks of a moose to capture photos for a local magazine.
The morning air was fresh and crisp with the sunrise slowly dissipating above the mountains that seemed to stretch for miles.
The tracks were new, about two hours old, and Jason stepped carefully over rocks and under tree branches doing his best to keep the 1000 pound mammals footprints in his sight.
As Jason rounded a bush, there in front of him was a dark furry shape and within seconds Mr. Kenzie was face to face with mother nature's largest Predator.
The hair stood up on his back and only the heartbeat in his chest could be heard penetrating Jason's Ear drum.
Everything went into slow motion as Seconds felt like hours and Just as Jason turned to run the 900 pound beast let out a bellowing roar as it lunged forward in hot pursuit.
With Camera flung over his shoulder Jason spotted a small opening in an old Lightning struck tree and with all of his might Jason went head first into the spider infested log.
The Grizzly rammed his large head into the tree and was able to tear off Jason's shoe.
If it wasn't for the bear spray Jason picked up the night before there would have been more then a lost shoe torn off. Even though the Ursus arctos horribilis was nowhere to be seen, Jason, fearing for his life, still slept an uncomfortable night in the tree.
