“Knock, knock! Its 6:45 a.m. Zac, time to get up. You can’t be late for you first day of your high school junior year.” “Mmmmmm… already....?” was the response from Zac.
“Knock! Knock! Enchantress!” “You up?!”
“Yeah, momma… just getin ready.” “Good.” Amy said she then walked by Jazz’s room and as usual she was fully dressed book bag in hand.
“Hey sweetie, looks like you are ready to go.”
“Yes mom,” Jazz said.
“Ok, then I will meet you downstairs. I am making eggs pancakes and waffles with a side of sausage.”
“Great,” Jazz said.
As Amy walked down the stairs she could not resist noticing the resemblance between Jazz and her when she was that age.
Amy was always the only one home at this time in the morning because Josh left early for his job as assistant to an oceanography professor at the college for ocean life which she didn’t mind because at night she was home late due to her job as nurse at the local Hospital.
Jazz was the first down as always. Jazz was the youngest of the three but was amazingly enough the most mature.
“So honey what would you like to eat this morning.” Amy asked.
“Pancakes sounds terrific mom.” Jazz said.
“Great!” Amy said.
Next to come down was Enchantress. She was wearing a short skirt with a see through top and boots that were a little to high.

“Uh…honey don’t you think that that outfit is a little inappropriate for school.” Amy asked.
What? It’s my style, everyone’s gotta have one.
“Yeah well that style of yours isn’t gonna fly around here. Go up and change into something a little more appropriate for school”.
“What?!” Enchantress asked
“I’m not gonna fight with you young lady. This is not up for debate. Go, now and change.” Amy said
“Huhhhh! Enchantress said I wish daddy were here he’d let me wear this.”
“I doubt it.” Amy said.

Lastly down was Zac, Now Zac wasn’t the brightest of the bunch. Though he was the oldest he acted the youngest and he was constantly bullied at school. Enchantress tries to stand up for him but they are not allowed to use there powers unless it is a life or death situation. You see, Zac likes Jane, a junior at school, who to Enchantress is as ugly as a sack of potaoes and as sinister as they come, but Zac likes her not realizing the clear evil that she does to Zac. It’s like he’s under a trance that he can’t wake up from. Love can make people do weird things. So, Jane uses Zac as her personally puppet. She makes him get her lunch, carry her back pack and in return she mocks him insults him and one time she even made him hang upside down from a tree and left him there. Yes this makes Enchantress furious but her power is temperature control so she can make it as hot or cold as she wants to. Jane’s power is fire so if Enchantress tried to attack it would be very ineffective or too affective that she could blow up the whole school. So all she can do is stand by his side help him when needed and try to convince him that Jane is not the girl for him even though he probably wouldn’t listen.
Today he was dressed in winter boots a bright yellow t-shirt and black sweat pants. Amy took one look at him and said, “Honey you know it’s supposed to be 95 degrees outside today, right?”
“Yeah, but I thought it was cold cause my room is cold.”
“Honey the room is cold because I have the air-conditioning on high.”
“Oh.” Zac said “
Go change into something a little cooler OK?”
“Ok, be back soon.”
Enchantress came back down the stairs in something more suitable.
“That’s better, Amy said. What do you want for breakfast?”
“I’ll just grab a waffle on the go.”
“Alright, Amy said. Have a good day sweetie!”
“Yeah, alright” Enchantress said.
Just then, Zac came down the stairs in a lime green t-shirt and black shorts with shoes to match and grabbed an apple from the fruit basket and followed Enchantress out the door. Amy new he wasn’t much of an eater so she didn’t object.
Meanwhile at Zac and Alex’s house Zac was at the table sipping coffee when a speed of white flew right past him at ultra fast speed.
“Emily, no speed running in the house” Zac said.
“Oh, come on dad. Just a little, pretty please.”
“No, save it for outside in here there are too many valuable things you could knock over.”
“Oh, Ok.” Emily said.

Upstairs, Alex was talking with Aaron their son about how messy his room is.
“Aaron your room is a mess. You really need to clean it up when you get back from school.” Alex was saying.”
“Oh, I can fix that” and Aaron said and raised his hand and a light of energy leaked out and traveled across the floor and up the walls and across the ceiling until it covered the whole room. And then just like that the room looked different it was clean spotless and shiny.
“Aaron, I mean it, drop the illusion and clean you room before bed tonight. Got it?” Alex said.
“Aww, man, that sucks there’s a TV show I want to watch on tonight.”
“Well, room first then TV show.”
“Can’t I just keep the illusion up?” Aaron said. “I mean no one will notice.”
Aaron’s mom’s eyes knitted together the way they do when she has had about enough and she said “Aaron, what did I just say….?”
“Oh, O.K. I will clean my room when I get home tonight.”
“Thank you.” Alex then walks out of Aaron's room and runs into Samantha.
“Samantha, honey you ready for school?”
“Yes, mom” Samantha said.
“Alright good job.” Alex said smiled and walked downstairs.
Downstairs Alex looks at Zac and asks, “How is the business going”
“Ok.” Zac said not looking up from the paper.
“Any additional members joined?”
“No.”
“How’s your coffee today, Hun?”
“Fine” Zac says.
“Wow, a man of many words.” Alex says. “Anything I can help you with.”
“If you can produce a working business sure, otherwise, nope.”
“Look, I’m sure your business will become, bigger and more important. You just have to be patient. Look if it makes you feel any better Aaron’s illusions are progressing.”
“Really,” Zac asked
“Yeah, he just made his room look clean without any patchy spots.” Alex said.
“Well, at least I will have a child that will make headlines someday. Since my powers are gone.” Zac said.
“Hey! Alex scolded We both agreed to look past that. It’s not what’s in the past, but what is to come , Ok?” Alex asked.
“Right, I’m sorry” Zac said his eyes unfocused. “I’m sorry.”
He was clearly hurt. And with that he walked upstairs and fell into bed which is what he did most days he is home. You see, Zac had his powers taken away 17 years ago to the day by an unfortunate villain. His name was Bobby he could absorb powers. And once he was killed by Metallica he gave all, but one power back to where they belonged. That one powers owner was Zac. And since then he has been depressed and it was getting worse everyday. Now he hardly participates with the family and his wife Alex is very worried.
Crystal and Element had two boys named James and Don. Crystal was pouring cereal when James their fourteen year old son came walking into the room in Egyptian pharaoh garment.
“Hi, son here’s some cereal for you and try not to turn it to sand please.” Crystal said.
“Alright mother,” James said.
“How are you doing today mother,” James asked sitting down at the table.
“Ok, how about you?” She asked.
“Other then that presentation I have on the Egyptian God Ra. Great!”
“You ready for it?” Crystal asked. “Ready and raring to go” James said.
All of the sudden The sky got dark and the clouds burst and rain came tumbling down and with a flash of lighting Don came trifling in on a wooden horse. Once he entered the kitchen the clouds dissipated and the sky was clear blue again.
Don said, “Tada!”
“Wow Don, your weather skills are improving and at great speed.” Crystal said. “Yeah,” James said “soon you will be as good as mom”
“Really?” Don asked light showing in his eyes, “That would be awesome.”
Don was 12 years old and had the same power Crystal had which is the control of weather.
“Alright come on my little cupcake Crystal said. Come eat your food.”
At Metallica’s and Eric’s house Sam and Donte were doing their weekly wrestling match and Donte had Sam pinned to the floor.
“See little bro you can never beat me in a fight Donte said Your just too weak.” “Huff…ok …get off” Sam squeaked.
Donte hopped off.
“You guys are idiots” Jane said as she walked into in to the living room. “Hey mom where’s the yogurt?” Jane asked.
“I don’t know find it yourself you have eyes and hands, I’m busy.” Metallica said.
Metallica was a metal molder and had a room where she worked that connected to the kitchen.
Just then Jane sensed a paper ball flying her way. She shot a flame of fire out of her hand and turned the paper to ashes. Donte! Stop!
What, that wasn’t me? he said trying for his best I’m innocent look.
“Yes it was. Sam’s to goody, goody for something like that. Plus, I see Sam eating an apple at the other side of the room. So stop!”
“ Huhhhh, Fine.” He glared at Sam who was still busy eating his apple and stormed upstairs to get ready for school.
You see, since they all were little kids Sam was always the one to get straight A’s in school. He would help someone who is feeling down. He even helped out at the food shelter twice a week. He was what you’d call a too good to be true person, but It was true. This made Donte sick with anger because he was the exact opposite He was bad as bad as they come. He would get into fights at school. Bully other students and steal from where ever he wanted. He could do this because his hands could turn into any thing he wanted. He could also turn into a metallic liquid. So, you can see how stealing could come easy for Donte. He was head leader in a gang, the worst one in the city. They all had some super power which made them more advanced then the other gangs in the city. Donte was a senior at the school. He’s had his eye on a sophomore she was very beautiful and he wanted to make her his and to control her of course. Her name was Enchantress.
Sam was deathly afraid of his brother. So he tried not to anger him. He knew he could never beat him in a fight which made him even more uncomfortable. He also knew he was a third wheel in the family everyone’s done something remotely evil besides him. This made him an outcast but that also made him feel good. He was different but in a good way.
It did not stop Donte from trying to get him in trouble though. He tried every day like just yesterday he set fire to the neighbors grass and blamed it on Sam because he was doing home work outside, by their lawn. Luckily dad put it out before they noticed and that night Donte and Dad had a big argument about it which ended with Donte leaving the house and slamming the door. This is a normal night for Donte, if you were wondering. Then the next day we would hear about a gang with black suits who robbed a bank using unnatural power. This would outrage daddy and make Mom upset but, who could stop him he had any power at the palm of his hand. He was what you’d call the villain who could not be stopped. The cops were powerless; every time they’d shoot he would turn to liquid and show up someplace else. Even a couple of our super friends like Amy and Josh and others could not stop him. So all we could do is watch and keep scolding him in hopes for a change.
Sam was in love. He noticed her everyday. She tended to glow magically to him. Just like her name Enchantress. He liked the way she walked talked and looked. He had the feeling she liked him too. She would always wink at him. Give him a dazzling smile. He really adored her, but every time he would try to approach Donte would be there and he did not want Donte to see that he liked her. It would be one more thing he could taunt him about.
Since all the families ride the same bus together they can always talk about things. Today Aaron was talking to Jazz about the new illusion trick he did to his mother this morning.
“Really,” Jazz was saying.
“Yeah, it was like the mess was not there. Poof, it was gone.” Aaron said. “Wow, I wish you could do an illusion with me sometime.”
Well….sure just not here Aaron said uncomfortably.
Jazz looked at Aaron and saw she got the response she was looking for. Aaron’s freckled face was blushing to match his bright red hair.
Next door to Jazz Zac was holding Jane’s book bag and purse and a pile of books that reached out over his head while Jane was on the phone talking to a guy.
“Yeah,” Jane was saying he thinks I like him. Ha, in his dreams little man, but its good to have him around to do stuff for me like my little maid.”
“Yes, you’re my little maid aren’t you?” She said to Zac who looked her and smiled unaware of what she is up to.
Down in the front of the bus Sam and Enchantress were steeling glances at each other from across the bus.
Sam said to himself, “this is the day I will tell her; today I will let her know I like her.”
At the school the classes were different for each grade but, Jazz and Aaron and Don were in 8th grade. Emily was in 7th grade James and Samantha are in 9th grade while Enchantress and Sam are sophomores. Zac is a junior and Donte and Jane are seniors.
During lunch that day Sam was sitting down a table across from Enchantress. He had Just finished his lunch and was thinking of approaching Enchantress to ask her out when Donte came bursting through the door with his group of friends.
“Enchantress why don’t you go out with me” Donte asked.
“No thanks.” Enchantress said.
“WHAT?! Donte asked NO ONE SAYS NO TO THE BIG D!”
He bent down and grabbed her shirt by the neck and was about to throw her when Sam said Stepped in front of Donte and said Step off! Donte!
“Little bro, you finally getting some balls, are ya? Well take this” and he punched Sam in the face throwing him to the floor knocking him out.
Then security came running through the doors. Just after Donte and his gang left. They took Sam to the nurse’s office. Enchantress insisted on following.
An hour later Sam woke up in a daze once his eyes focused he saw the nurse sitting there. And all of the memories came rushing back to him.
“Where’s Enchnatress” he asked?
“She’s fine; she went to get you another cold rag for your head. You know, you have a nasty bruise.”
He looked in the mirror and rage filled in his gut. A big purple bruise lined his jaw. Just then Enchantress came in the door.
“Hey, my hero is up!” She sat next to him and smiled.
“Some, hero” Sam said embarrassed. “Hey, you saved me, which in my book is the best kind of hero out there.”
“Well I guess I should tell you, Sam said Donte is my brother.”
“Oh, I figured that out, but that doesn’t matter to me.”
“Really” Sam asked. Really, Enchantress said. “Well I know this is an awkward time and all, but I have wanted to ask you out.”
“Sure! Enchantress said with a smile. Can you believe I was thinking the same thing?
After school Sam’s heart was filled with so much joy that he almost forgot the altercation he had with Donte. Sam opened the door of his house and things were strangely quiet. Then like out of the shadows Donte and his gang came out of hiding. Sam started backing towards the door, but the door slammed shut and locked. “No where to hide bro.”, Donte said. “See you and me aren’t through.” “You like to be bold, be bold now.”
“Brother we don’t have to do this.” Sam said.
“Oh, I think we do!” Donte said.
“You got you lick at school no more harm needs to be done.” Sam urged.
Sam was now pinned to the wall. Donte punched Sam in the gut three times until he was kneeling on the floor holding his stomach and had tears coming down his face.
“Where’s your power now little bro?”
Donte raised his leg to kick Sam when Sam then used a magnetic force field that threw his brother back with such force he made a crack in the wood on the other side of the house. Sam did not mean to use such force, but it came out like that. Donte lay still for a moment and then he slowly got to his feet.
“So, little bro, you’ve got some power like mom, eh.” “Well lets hope you can use it cause I’m about to beat your ass!”
Hugggh!
Donte lunched in to the air with force turning his hands to heavy wood hammers in mid air. Sam made a shield that was strong enough to bounce him back half the distance from where he jumped landing with a thud. Donte’s gang members grimaced. He stood limping and said to his gang members, let’s bounce! He then said towards Sam.
“Hey, Sam you’d better watch your back cause I’m gonna find your weakness and you will be mine to kill.”
“Bro or not I will find it and I will kill you leaving no trace of evidence.”
“Enjoy the time you have left on this planet cause when I catch you, you will never see the light of day again.”
With that he limped out the door and slammed it hard.
Sam stood there for a moment to afraid to move. Then he stumbled upstairs to the bathroom and puked out his lunch.
The next day Sam was sitting on the school steps talking with Enchantress.
“So his gang watched you get beat up?” she asked.
“Yes” Sam said.
“And he threatened your life?”
“Yes” Sam said again.
“And there’s no way to stop him.”
“Nope” Sam said.
“You got yourself one big pickle.” Enchantress said
“I know,” Sam agreed.
“If it means anything, I hope he never finds your weakness, cause I don’t know what I’d do if you died” she said.
“Yeah, but he has to catch me first.” Sam said with a faint smile.
Weeks went by without a sign of Donte. Sam and Enchantress would hang out with no interruptions. They were getting closer everyday. Sometimes they’d call each other and chat or grab a scoop of ice cream down at the corner parlor. Today Sam was just happy. He had a warm tingling inside because Sam and Enchantress shared their first kiss.
Once he got home it was late. He said good night to his mom and dad and went to bed. It was about 1:00 pm when Sam woke to someone wrapping a bag around his head and a gag in his mouth. He tried to grab hold of something anything, but they grabbed his hands and tied them behind his back. He was trapped. He was grabbed forcefully and dragged down the steps. He felt an exchange of hands at the door and then he heard the voice he was so afraid of, Donte.
“Hey little bro, I have a present for you at a shed down at the park. Uh uh uh you fight me in any way I will find your little girlfriend and beat her till she’s black and blue.Then I will dump her in the river, got it?”
“Mmmm!” was Sam’s response.
He went willingly into a van Sam was sure they stole and then to the park.
The park felt cold and damp in the night’s breeze. He could not see where he was going but he sensed a bright light up ahead. They walked another ten feet or so and stopped. Sam prepared for another beating when then instead they removed the bag wrist locks and gag. Sam looked around him there was a pool ten feet away and playground a little ways from that other wise it was a completely empty part of the park. Sam looked at his brother.
“Why’d you bring me here?” he asked “Why you are standing on the reason I brought you here can’t you feel you energy draining.” Donte sneered.
Sam looked down and to his astonishment he saw a magnetic like structure that he realized was indeed slowly draining him of energy and power. He soon had to kneel on all fours which he was now stuck in that position forever, unable to move.
“Brother, Sam said weakly what have I done to deserve such a fate.”
“You live, that’s what.” Donte said. And now you will be drained of all that power that is in you and when the time is right I will kill you with this gun.”
] He produced a gun from inside his pocket.
“Brother…please, forgive me” Sam said. “Ha, never Donte said. Gag him we’ll come back for him in a few days. Death is your fate Sam!”
With that Donte left leaving Sam alone to be drained of his power mind and spirit.
The next day Enchantress noticed Sam was not on the bus.
“Huh, that’s odd she thought.”
Sam never missed a day of school. During lunch she tried calling him. No response. Enchantress was getting very anxious at this point. She knew what had probably happened, but she tried to convince herself that Sam was still alive just locked up somewhere, but what prison could hold Sam. She did not know, but she knew she had to find Sam one way or another. She just had to think. Slowly a plan was forming in her head but it would have to involve all her friends.
The next day she handed out invitations to meet at a certain location after school. Everyone agreed to meet.
Enchantress met everyone at the secret location.
“Now, listen up” she said.
Everyone turned to look at her.
“Now, my boyfriend Sam has been kidnapped to be killed. He is the nicest guy I’ve every met. I need your help to save him.”
There were murmurs through the crowd. “Now, I know it will be tough but it must be done.”
“Why will it be tough?” Aaron asked. “Because, we will have to battle Donte and his gang.” She said
more murmurs shoveled through the crowd. “I know we are scared, but imagine if we were in the same situation. Sam would help anyway he could. It’s our turn to save him from danger, So who’s in?”
“I am” James said
“I am too” said Don.
“Me too” said Emily
“Me second” said Aaron.
“Count me in” Jazz said.
“Hey, but we need a name for our group” Don said. “What about the Justice league” Aaron asked
“No, that’s taken” Jazz said. “I know” she said
“how about The Young Powers.” Great everyone agreed.
Meanwhile Zac was out with Jane at the aquarium holding her stuff as always. They were walking by fish tank after fish tank. Jane seemed to be waiting for something when out of nowhere this other guy shows up and wraps his arm around Jane.
Zac stepped forward and said, “Hey, that’s my girl get your own.”
Jane looked at the guy and said, “I’ll handle this baby.”
“Zac, I never really liked you.”
“What?” Zac asked totally taken back.
“Yep, you were just my little puppet my chore boy.”
“So, all that time I did all those chores for you, carried you stuff even did some of your homework. That was all a game to you?”
“Yep”
“So I slaved around for you for a half a year for nothing!”
“Well don’t make it sound so evil Jane said I only made you do what you would have done anyways. Now run away now like a good little boy.”
“No!” Zac said
“Excuse me?” Jane asked
“I said no, you will pay for what you have done!”
“What are…”
All of the sudden the aquarium tanks started bubbling rapidly. Then with a gigantic force the glass burst and the water came rushing out towards the area Jane was standing. She toppled over riding the wave of water out the door.
“Now, who has the last laugh?” Zac said
Aaron was at home that night having a hard time sleeping. He kept hearing voices in his head. It wasn’t until an hour later that he realized it was from everywhere around him. He was hearing his family’s thoughts. This can’t be happening. Aaron thought. He climbed out of bed and walked to the door holding his head. He walked to his parent’s room.
Then leaned on the wall and yelled “STOP!”

Least to say the bed his where mom was laying was now empty because she had toppled to the floor in fright.
“Son, what’s wrong his” mom asked
Her hair flat on one side puffy on the other.
“I can’t make them stop! Aaron said the voices!”
“Oh dear! His mother said you gained my great, great Grandfathers gift. You can hear people’s thoughts.
“A gift, more like a curse!” Aaron said

“Once you learn to control it sweetie it will become a gift. Now go to sleep try to think of happy thoughts until morning and then we will talk more.”
“Ok. Aaron said.
She gave Aaron a hug and said good night.
The next morning Aaron came downstairs with bags under his eyes. His mom looked at him in worry. “Maybe you should not go to school today.”
“No mom, I’m fine Aaron said.
“Really, you sure! She asked.
Then thought He looks like he hasn’t slept in weeks.
“No, I’m fine, and I have slept in weeks.” Aaron said
Alex looked shocked.
“Son, rule number one you must not listen to others thoughts unless you utterly need to or they allow you to, got it?”
“Yes mother.”
‘And also this gift may not come as such a gift to others, so please be careful. The mind is a carefully guarded place, so don’t intrigue. If you happen to hear others thoughts act like you didn’t because if you don’t it can cause problems, Ok?”
“Yes mom.”
“Ok time for school.” She said.
On the bus Aaron was sitting next to Jazz and they were talking about The Young Powers group they were involved in.
“So you ready to find him later tonight” Aaron asked Jazz.
“Yeah, are you?” She asked and then thought “He is so cute and hot. Those freckles make me want to kiss those bright red lips.”
Aaron blushed a lot more then he wanted to so he had to pretend to look out the window of the other side of the bus.
“Yeah, I’m ready too, so I wonder what’s for lunch today at school. I really liked the chicken patties last week. Hopefully they’ll have something just as good today, right?” Aaron said.
“Yeah maybe,” Jazz said a little disappointed in the sudden change of subject.
That day passing through the hallways of school Aaron ran into one of Donte’s gang members getting a drink from the vending machine and decided to hear his thoughts. “Man, I can’t believe Donte wants me to check on his brother at the Johnson’s Park after school. I got better things to do with my time.”
“Hey, Control what’s taking your slow ass so much time. Come, on!”
“Dog, I’ll be right there, calm your nerves. And with that he left.”
After school, Enchnatress was waiting for the group to arrive. First it was Emily since she could run at ultra fast speed. Then it was Jazz and she was carrying Aaron. Then James materialized in a sand gust right in front of Enchantress. Then Don came out of the sky with a gush of wind.
“Alright Enchnatress said. We have to figure out where they have him stashed. Does anyone know?”
“I do” Aaron said. “Really, How Enchatress” asked. “I have a new power that I gained recently I can hear peoples thoughts.”
A murmur went thought the group. Suddenly Jazz found it hard to meet Aaron’s eyes.
“And so I was listening to one of Donte’s gang member’s thoughts at school today and he said they have him stashed at Johnson’s Park.”
“Great! Enchantress said lets conduct a plan.”
The plan consisted of this James would take on the gang member Control. Control could control people’s minds with this stone he wore around his neck. All James had to do was destroy the necklace. Don would take on Hot Demon because his power was fire. Then Emily would take on Lighting Girl who had the power of producing electric wattage bolts from nothing into her hand. Since Emily was ultra fast hopefully she would not be struck by them. Aaron’s job was to find out what the twins called double headed dog was afraid of. Their power was to transform into a giant double headed dog scary, but true. Jazz’s job was to go with Enchantress and find Sam and if he was stuck somewhere unleash him with her energy power balls and flight. Enchantress had the biggest job of all she had to find Donte and battle him to death or at least until Sam had enough power to help. You see Enchantress was a third degree black belt in karate.
Meanwhile Sam looked like he was ageing two years every couple hours he was there. He was weak and close to giving up. Donte just sat there watching Sam grow weaker every day. Tonight he was eating a juicy burger in front of Sam mocking him since he has not eaten since they trapped him there. Donte would talk to him in a mockery way but Sam stayed silent since it hurt now to talk.
Tonight Donte was saying, “You know, this all could have been avoided if you did not step in on my thing with Enchantress, but no, you had to play the hero. Well my little hero, look where that justice got you. Death! Hell, I think its time I put your misery to an end.”
He grabbed in his pocket the gun lifted it in the air and then his cell phone rang. “What’s up Control? What… Ah-huh... really? Well do what you have to don’t hold back. Yep, keep me updated.”
“Well your girlfriend has arrived demanding your release or a fight to the death, but naturally we picked the fight to the death.”
Dontes phone beeped saying there was a text.
“Oh, look, Donte said she assembled a little rescue party. Well I’m not worried my gang is at the top of their game. That’s why they were accepted to join. I feel sorry for your friends.”
Sam lifted his head his eyes sunk in. “You will not get away with this” he said weakly.
The Young Powers plan was working. They succeeded at spreading the gang apart across the park.
First up was James. James had Control alone which is just the way he wanted it. Control summoned his power from the stone and tried to control James. But James reflected the power having it bounce back. Control tried again pushing a little harder. This time all it did was bounce James back a little.
“You think you can control the mighty James? This is my domain. Look around you. I control the EARTH!”
And with that he summoned his power and made a twister of earth and sand having it raise him 10 feet in the air.
“You see, you can not win.”
Control wasn’t done with his tricks though he had the stone raise him 10 feet in the air to be level with James.
“You will bow to me!” Control said.
“I DON’T THINK SO!” James said his voice echoing around the park.
He raised his hand towards the stone and like ice to water it turned to sand! The last thing Control remembered was looking totally shocked and for the first time in his life, scared. Then he dropped 10 feet and hit the ground with a thud.
James’s brother was having similar luck defeating Hot Demon every time Hot Demon would blaze with fire. A rush of rain water would put him out. This went on for about 10 minutes until Hot Demon was exhausted. Then he just took on combat he grabbed a stick form a nearby tree and started to fight Don with force and strength. Don had the upper hand until he started walking up a hill back wards. He was so focused on balance. He did not see the hit coming. Wham! The stick hit him in the jaw throwing him backwards. Hot Demon lit the stick on fire and was just about to set Don on fire when Don summed a gush of wind that flew Hot Demon back with such force he slammed into a cement wall and laid still. “Yeah, that will teach you not to mess with the big Don!” Don shouted
Aaron was standing in front of the twins.
They asked each other. “Is this a joke? I know Donte must be messing with us, right, sending a kid to do a man’s job, ha!”
“So boys, what are you guys afraid of, huh?” Aaron asked.
They looked at each other and said, “Nothing, now run home before we have to ruffle your hair”
But Aaron got what he needed. They both thought, “spiders”. So, Aaron raised his hand both twins stepped back. Then light leaked from his hand and a gushing speed soon he had made a gigantic portal illusion and from that portal came the ugliest scariest largest spiders you could ever find. Both twins immediately transformed into a giant two headed dog, but the spiders outsized the dog by three. The dog whimpered and skittered away tail between its legs.
Emily was just making the Lighting Girl mad. The Lightning Girl would summon a bolt of lightning and aim it at her and Emily would move faster then lightning to another part of the park. She kept this up for about 20 minutes and then the Lightning Girl notice something Emily didn’t. She was surrounded by metal objects. Lightning Girl said
“Hey what do you get when you have lightning and a super fast jumpy rabbit surrounded by metal.”
“I don’t know?” Emily said. “What?”
Emily was still bouncing around. Lightning Girl summoned a burst of bright lightning that connected and arched off of every metal object that surrounded Emily then they each electrocuted Emily from all angles. Emily screamed a very high pitched scream that was surely heard all around the park. Her eyes glowed bright white and then closed and she collapsed to the floor unconscious.
Lightning Girl walked over to her and said “You get fried rabbit.”
She then picked Amy up and put her in a cell and dragged her to the holding shed.
After that she called Donte and said, “the fast one is down.”
“Great, how is everyone else?”
But, Lightning Girl could not talk because she noticed she was surrounded by James, Aaron, and Don.
“What should we do with her?” Aaron asked.
“I say give her a taste of her own medicine.” Don said reaching for the sky.
“No, wait” James said.
I have a better idea. He raised his hand and sand tendrils lifted from the earth and lifted Lightning Girl up into the air she blazed bright for a moment then turned to sand. All that was left of Lightning Girl was a pile of white sand. She didn’t even get a chance to scream. Now, let the rain wash her away James said. With that Don summoned a gust of rain and washed her far away.
James picked up the phone and said, “We are on our way to get our friend have him alive and ready to go or else.” The line clicked out.
Aaron said clearing his throat, “I’m going to find my sister.”
His voice dry because he now saw the extent of James’s power and it freaked him out no, it scared him deeply. For now though he was glad to have his sister avenged. James and Don started the long walk to the larger shed that held Sam.
Donte’s head was spinning with anger and maybe even fear. His whole gang was taken out. How was this possible? They were undefeatable. His body was shaking with anger. Had his mind been clear he might have foreseen the next chain of events.
Donte raised his gun towards Sam, “You die now brother.”
He raised the gun and shot but missed aim because he heard a familiar voice coming in the shed.
“DON’T YOU DARE KILL SAM!” Enchantress had entered the room.
“Oh, isn’t this sweet.” “The girlfriends come to save her lover.” Donte sneered.
“Yes, and I’ve come to challenge you.”
“Challenge me?” Donte asked. You couldn’t challenge a fly, let alone me.”
“Well lets see you put you money where you mouth is, huh. That’s the saying, right? I challenge you in combat” she said “Oh, this will be easy” Donte said.
He aimed a punch at Enchantress’s face she ducked super fast. The she did a jump round house kick at Donte’s face throwing him backwards across the floor. “Alright little girl its time you go back to play with you make-up and lipstick, cause this fight is over.”
He charged at her. She did a jump front kick flying him backwards three feet, “Oh, you’re gonna pay for that one, you little bitch.” Donte said.
“Come on then,” Enchantress said.
Meanwhile Sam was watching this fight with fascination. He could not believe his girlfriend was taking on the bully of the city. Sam stopped being able to feel his fingers an hour ago so he didn’t notice the invisible energy ball that was surrounding him, until it lifted him into the air and onto the wood floor. He looked behind him and saw Jazz standing there waving with a smile on her face.
Sam whispered, “Thank you.”
Then he regained his balance and energy and launched full force at Donte. He landed with a thud on him, but as always Donte was stronger he grabbed Sam by the neck and lifted him in the air.
“Little bro, how the hell did you get off that magnet…hell, it don’t matter this ends now!”
He threw Sam into the pool hoping he would drown. Knowing full well Sam could not swim.
Enchantress screamed “NO!”
“Its too late he is dead.” Donte said with a smile.
She knelt to the floor heart broken. When all the sudden the pool glowed bright then, brighter and brighter until it was too blaring bright to look at. Then Sam rose out of the water like a beacon he was globed in a shield of bight gold energy.
He then spoke and said “Brother, this ends NOW!”
His voice was amplified and echoed loudly everywhere even out of the park. Sam kept rising until he had burst the ceiling off the shed leaving a huge opening like the worlds largest sun roof. He then raised his hand and turned the metal contraption he had been held in to a crumpled ball.
Then Sam looked at his brother eyes searing white and said, “You have caused so much trouble and pain for everyone in this city. Well, no more. I am now going to sentence you to prison for eternity.” Donte for once looked genuinely scared and uncomfortable on the ground shaking in his boots. Sam then raised his hand controlling every metal thing in a 5 mile radius and flew it at Donte until it forced him to go to liquid metallic form. Then he controlled the liquid forcing Donte to stay in that form. Then he looked at Enchantress and said,
“Now Enchantress.” She looked up confused.
“Make the temperature freezing cold.” he commanded. I mean colder then arctic breeze cold.” She finally understood. She raised her hands and aimed them towards the metallic liquid. The temperature got freezing cold so cold that it caused Sam’s energy ball to flicker in and out for a moment. Then after a few minutes the temperature went back to normal and Sam released his control on the metallic liquid, but it stayed the same way it did not change one bit. Donte was frozen in place, a permanent prison for the villain of all villains. Sam descended to the ground and leaned on Enchantress.
“You were awesome, she said yeah, so where you. I could not have done it with out my trusty friends All the members of the Young Powers, that is.” Enchantress said as all of them walked in.
“Really, all of you came to my rescue? I don’t know how to thank you enough!”
“Well, there is still one more opening for the Young Powers” Aaron said.
“I’d be honored to join” Sam said.
The weeks that came went by fast. Donte was put in a federal prison in a special closed of area that kept its temperature colder than the artic breeze. Sam and Enchantress helped the team build a little secret club house for the Young Powers League when they weren’t hanging out themselves. Aaron and Jazz grew very close while Emily slowly recovered from the electric shock at the local hospital checked on every night by Amy. Emily was just glad that Lightning Girl was gone. James started up his own business making Rock statues while Don started his own gardening business. Lastly, but not least Zac started growing up taking care of himself and he even started his own style. Josh his father started to teach him tricks and techniques to do in water. Zac was so proud of his son for what he achieved scaring the gang members like that, he vowed to work harder to love and participate with the family. When danger calls though, the Young Powers go into action to save the day.
A few months later Jane snuck into the federal prison late at night and incinerated the guards so she could reach Donte. She unplugged the cool air machine and put her hand blazed with fire over the metallic liquid melting it. Slowly Donte reformed until he was human again.
He then turned towards his sister and said, “Jane, thanks a lot,”
Then he turned his hand to a sharp knife and stabbed Jane through the heart killing her instantly.
“But, you shouldn’t have. Donte finished. Now, I have me a brother to kill.”
