The Day My Heart Was Taken

She was in a deep place on this day of February. She was with the other girls who had no one, who dreamt of having someone that made her feel like the best thing that’s ever happened to them. She was alone like her friends.

Adaline and her friends were all single. They made plans to meet up at their favorite hang out and go out to eat to their favorite place in town. Adaline was so excited. No guys. It was just girls. Adaline arrived at their hangout, looked in the mirror in her car, touched up her makeup. She was dressed in her favorite band tee, favorite red skinny jeans and her converses she wore all the time. She got out of the car so excited and unaware of her life changing. She walked in the building and as her eyes adjusted to the light there he was. She knew him from her childhood, from having numerous crushes and heart breaks because he never chose her. But, today, as Adaline looked at this guy she has known for decades is looking back at her. Adaline gave him a the biggest hug with the biggest smile on her face. At the first touch, their was a spark. He smelled and looked amazing. His smile warmed her heart and his eyes made her feel something she has never felt before.

After all the catching up, it was time to go eat. He rode with them. Adaline couldn’t stop staring at him. She couldn’t help but think is it possible that this is love? Can you fall in love from just the first look? Adaline didn’t know what to expect would come next.
After the night ended and Adaline had to go home, Adaline and Aaron said their goodbyes.

A few days later, Adaline was at her waitressing job. It was at the end of her shift and she was in the back doing her last minute chores. Adaline checked her phone. Aaron had been texting her since the other night. Adaline was about to reply when one of her co-workers came through the doors and told me someone was asking for her. Her heart dropped when she saw who it was. It was Aaron. He came to see her and she looked so nasty. Adaline fixed her hair the best way she could.

When she clocked out he was waiting for her at her car. They sat in her car and talked and laughed. He asked her to be his girlfriend and she immediately said yes.

Adaline and Aaron dated 6 months before he asked her to marry him. She said yes and they had a November wedding and later had a beautiful baby girl.
