It was a beautiful, dreary evening and mist was beginning to rise in the distance. The thicket beyond our house was turning into a murky green from it's usual color, and the scent of rain burned through our house. But, i was on my way out of there, i had to purchase some stuff.
My name is Nadia Howard and I'm seventeen years old. I first went to ST. Holy's school to do my primary stages and then went to study in a really big school called Gemmeg Academy for my Secondary years. But, after six years of feeling proud, beautiful, superior and wonderful, my secondary years twisted my smile. It twisted my life...it, to some extent, even twisted my fears. So let me take you on a roller coaster ride of one of my most weird and painful experiences.
It was September 29th and i was on my way home from just buying some all-star shoes. It rained heavily, but that did not matter. What did matter was when dawn aroused on that same day, and i had been stricken ill with... shock...
"Hey there Nadia." Someone i did not know greeted me on that cold night. The clouds were puffed in luminous greys, and the moonlight tried to shine through thickness. However the rain did not care.
"Hello, er.. who are you, if i may ask?" I asked, in a sort-of spirited manner.
"Oh yes, silly me. My name is Dreceda." At that moment i was thinking, why would anybody be called Dreceda?
"Errr, hello Dreceda. Again. Don't you need an umbrella or something, it's kind-of raining above our heads if you've not noticed. And You'll probably get more drenched than you are right now " I said, silently fearing the night.
"Oh right, i did not even notice." That had to be a creepy statement...The rain was pouring on her head, thunder was booming louder than sonic boom(okay bad joke) and the air was thick with freezing chills. How can anyone not notice?
Then, she walked up to me, where i was, dry under the roof of a building.
"Do i know you somehow?" I was becoming impatient and needed to run home.
"Of course you do." She said, her hands were in a bow position, she was slightly hunched and one eyed twitched noticeably. I made a weirded-out face and tried not to stare at her.
"How?" Impatience was bugging me and saying "run, go home, you have to...." ... or was it something else...
"Why Nadia, how do you not know me?"
"I don't; now hurry up, it's really cold out here, i have to go home."
"I'll escort you." Her voice was husky.
So i turned around and began walking hurriedly away from the rainy night and the creepy-hunched-twitching-lady. I didn't say "okay" or "no" for her offer, i just went.
As i was walking i thought; 'how can someone be so silent?'
And i glanced back quickly to see what must have occupied Dreceda's mind...But creepily enough she wasn't there...Only a faint black trail trailed on the floor. It was almost like how a slug would leave a trail of, well, slime.
"Hello, er....Dreceda?" I turned around completely, calling fearfully for Dreceda, but there was nobody.
"Can you not see me?"
Holly Chamolly, what? It was Dreceda, standing in the rain, with her head almost touching her shoulder and she had soil in her hand.
My heart raced from left-to right and vice-versa. Something was eerie and it wasn't just the night itself.
"Turn around Nadia, we have reached your home." She told me, and my ears pricked to think; 'How did she know where i lived?'
But when i turned around i did not see my home, nor did i see the path i was walking on; i saw a place almost home to supernatural people. It was a dark area (almost like a black hole), with endless black and grey ground and the scent of blood and ghostly noises filled my ears.
"My home? Are you crazy, how did i even get here!?..." But yet again, i was talking to thin air.
I was bewildered as to what was happening. Was someone playing a prank on me?
But how? This was so realistic. Or maybe i could have been dreaming or hallucinating. You know, because i took a few pegs. But i pinched myself and felt the pain.
Something was coming my way, from the 'grave'-like scenario. But like all other horror stories, you would see something moving or it would call to you when it would head your way, but this thing wasn't.
I backed away, whatever it was, it was completely invisible and only two blood-shot red eyeballs with tiny dotted puipls floated my way.
I continued backing away, and my hands trembled, and the next thing i knew i was running in the opposite direction.
"Help me!" I screamed desperately. "Help me!"
"What for, devil?"
What? Who had said that? And yet again, it was the creepy stalker Dreceda.
In a stressful fear i began saying;
"You evil devil yourself, where have you brought me? Who are you, huh? Some witch with the ability to do black-magic? Freak! The first time you approached me, i knew you were 'wrong'! What have i done to you anyway?"
She removed her black cloak, and whizzed a chuckle, grinning like skulduggery would if she were here.
"This!" She exclaimed, dropping the cloak to the floor and raising her arms.
My mouth gaped open. And i gulped a length of saliva...She was a skeleton.
No, i'm not joking, she WAS a bloody skeleton with rusty white bones and meat that limply clung to some of the bones.
I bend slightly over and clutched my mouth in utter disgust, what was going on?
"You see, you see! She projected, moving closer to me.
"I...I..." And i sputtered out vomit. Vomit that looked like blood...
"What did i do?" I managed to ask, tears blankly falling from my eyes.
"When you were fourteen years of age you came to the chemical X party, remember?" I nodded, clearly remembering the day.
"There were cakes and confetti, and to make the theme more realistic there were real-life acids, kept safely in bottles. You were there, in your blue guise... Then after the party was over you were asked to help clear up. Adults were busy partying while the kids tidied up; everybody forgot about the acid, except you. You picked all the acid bottles present and mixed them all up in bucket, remember?" I nodded, why was she telling me all of this, i wanted to run home, but i couldn't move.
"I was there too, but i wasn't a member of that party. I was in fact, the beggar who was in the gutter looking at cryptic papers and whatever people called mental. You came with your acid and without looking, poured it on me, i screamed in agony but you didn't hear or even look. The ear plugs in your ears were not the only excuse. And, hence, i was burned...."
I mustered courage to speak and said;
"That doesn't even make sense. I didn't even have ear plugs in my ears and how can you live without a heart or whatever organs you need! Creep."
She laughed, scarily.
"Well, Nadia, I told you that i held cryptic, magical stuff. I performed a spell on myself to keep me alive so i can take my revenge on you." She narrowed her eyes and the white surrounding her eyes were covering even the space for her pupil.
I ran, and to my uttermost shock i stopped in my tracks and burst out laughing.
"Oh, oh, so, you followed me and then left me to stare at some imaginary "ish", and then you allowed me to come back to you so you could tell me 'the' story. Crazy woman you need help." She glared at me...Glaringly.
"Well, where can you go, anyway?" Her eyes widened in happiness, pure-evil happiness.
I looked at my surrounding and i knew that i was nowhere near home.
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry, Dec- whatever your name is..." And i burst out crying, i knew evil had cursed me.
She came closer, knelt down, and opened her mouth just under my chin. My tear felt into her mouth, it was blood filled.
I felt controlled and without thinking i sat on the cold grounded floor.
"Let's go home.."
"So, what's your plan for a punishment" i said, suddenly sounding less scared and more like I've just let in.
She dragged me by my hand towards the 'black hole', and surprisingly unraveled two mighty, ebony, hawk wings and flew into the dark skies.
"Let's wait, and see..."
