The Unexpected Journey

The Unexpected Journey(Rivaldo Adi) There was a group of student named Taylor, Jacob, James and Ryan. Taylor is the only girl in this group, she is a beautiful girl and she’s in love with Jacob but Taylor is scared to tell the truth to Jacob and James is a boy that really love to go to a gym, but he haven’t even find a girlfriend and never dated. Jacob is a good boy and he was really in love with James’ sister named Rachel and the last one is Ryan, he is a fat boy that likes to eat and play games that makes him bad at studies and hasn’t finished university. They have been best friends since the longest time possible; they went through everything together even until now. Every week they always go together and spend time together until one day Jacob have an idea. He said they can’t meet and text each other for 2 months in order to focus and finish the things they need to finish, and if they succeed, they will go on a vacation and meet up together in the train station. It was hard for everyone not to contact each other, there are too many temptations but they still manage to deal with it. Ryan focused on his studies in order to graduate and the others also try their best at work.
2 months had passed and everyone was very excited to meet each other again. Taylor was the first to get there, she missed her friends so much especially Jacob. Jacob told them to bring all the things needed for this trip but none of his friends have known yet where they are heading to. After everyone gathered, they hugged each other and said bunch of greetings. The others started asking Jacob about where they are going so Jacob told them that they’re going to mount Mahameru for a vacation so all of them happily agreed and they get on the train which is heading to Malang. After spending 1 night in the train, they all live in Malang and they directly rent a car and go to mount Mahameru. When they arrive there, they were shocked because suddenly Rachel was there and it appeared that Rachel has tugged with James all along without saying anything so James told his friends what happened and they were all happy and also excited, especially Taylor because she was no longer the only girl in the group. They arrived at the foot of Mahameru and were amazed by the splendid view, and the air was very refreshing, they liked the view very much. Everyone get ready for hiking and as soon as they are ready, they begin hiking. The road for the hiking is not comfortable because it was dangerous and slippery. They help each other, especially when someone is going to fall; the person who is closest will directly grab a hand. After hiking for hours, they decided to rest. They eat and chat, after chatting for awhile they get sleepy and decided to sleep. They set their tents and went to sleep.
The next day Jacob woke them up to prepare for hiking again, they are planning to reach the top of mount Mahameru. They begin hiking and some of them are still sleepy, Jacob tried to get closer to Rachel when he had the chance, Taylor did not show her jealousy because she wants to see her friend happy and not worry about her. They keep on hiking until the sun is setting, they eat, share stories and when they are tired, they decided to sleep. The hiking became harder and harder because the road is also getting higher and they are still reaching half of the mountain. They get thirsty and tired easily because of hiking for too long and when they are resting, they noticed a campfire not far from there. They went there and saw some people crying and putting flowers on a grave but there are many graves. Everyone was confused and so, James went and asked a man about the graves. The man told them that these are the people who died during their hiking journey. And when they heard this, they were speechless. They are sad for the people who died but scared at the same time because they might also die while hiking the mountain. They decided to just stop over thinking and keep on going. They rest for the night and woke up early in the morning to hike again, this time they almost reached the top. It has been several days of hiking and they are quite tired. They rested near a waterfall scattered with big rocks, they wash their faces there and chill for awhile. Taylor chatted with Ryan about her crush and how she is struggling with her feelings, she said that a girl is not suppose to make the first move because it will be a shame when the girl is rejected. They talked for awhile and Ryan cheers her up and told her to think positive. They go back hiking and there is a high path in front of them, Jacob tried to go up but stumbled and fall. Everyone laughed at him, but then everyone was struggling too and very dangerous. So Ryan had an idea, they told them that they have to scream out their dreams and ambitions and try to reach the top of the pathway so that their dreams could come true. Everyone is motivated by this and tried it. Surprisingly it worked. At this point, they are getting very close to the top. Their struggle did not end there, suddenly there are rocks falling from up the mountain and everyone tried avoiding with but more rocks came down and everyone is scared. They protect each other and Ryan was already badly hurt, Taylor cried for help and the other come to help as fast as they could, James carry Ryan up with struggle and everyone was hurt. They reached the top and Jacob apologized for what happened but his friends told him that this was something unforgettable no something to be sorry for. They resolved their feelings there even Taylor ended up being with Jacob. When they arrived home, Jacob and Taylor got married, the others also get their partners but nothing will change their friendship.
