FREDDY THE FOX

Amongst the woods lived Freddy the friendly fox.
One day Freddy was playing in the woods with Holly the Hedgehog.
They suddenly heard a noise coming from in the woods.
Freddy said “Stay here and I will take a look."
So Freddy went running off to find out what the noise was. He saw a tree had fallen down so he went to take a closer look to where the noise was coming from.
To his horror he saw Sid the Squirrel with his tail stuck under the fallen tree.
In the distance he saw Boris the Beaver Gnawing away at another tree.
Freddy shouted "Boris stop that and come over here and help me free Sid"
"Why?" asked Boris
"Because you are all friends and poor little Sid is stuck under a tree which you have chewed through" said Freddy
"OK" Shouted Boris as he came running over.
Freddy said "you dig behind Sid and i will dig in front of Sid and that way we should be able to free Sid.
Then holly came strolling over "what’s the problem? She asked
"Sid is stuck" explained Freddy
Stay here said Holly and i will get Morris the mole.
So Holly rolled up and rolled away to find Morris. A little while later Holly found Morris. Can you come and help us she asked.
But while Holly was away Boris and Freddy had dug all the way round Sid and freed him. So Freddy, Boris and Sid waited for Holly to return.
Holly and Morris finally turned up. “Where have you been? Asked Freddy
"Only over there" as Holly pointed into the distance.
“But we only have little legs that's why it has taken so long to get over here" said Morris
Freddy said “it’s alright because Sid isn't stuck any more.
So Freddy decided he would have a tea party that afternoon for getting Sid unstuck from a fallen tree.
Betty the blackbird was sitting high up amongst the trees. "Will you please come down here Betty" asked Freddy
“Yes Freddy what do you want?" asked Betty
"I’m having a party and I'm inviting all the animals of the wood to come along. So if you could fly around and tell everybody the party starts at 3pm in my part of the wood.“ Asked Freddy
"But what is it for?" Asked Betty
"It’s because Sid was stuck and we freed him, that's why!" Said Freddy
Time ticked away and 3 o'clock approached. But there was no sign of anybody. So Freddy went off to his den and was starting to get upset. So when Freddy went into his den all the other animals quietly surrounded the entrance.
Holly said quietly "anybody at home?"
Freddy sad "Yes but nobody has come to my party."
Holly then said “Come outside I've got something to show you".
So Freddy got up and walked slowly to the entrance.
"SURPRISE" They all shouted.
Deirdre the Deer said “do you really think we would miss out on a party? Any way it’s thanks to you that Sid is free again"
"Thank you" said Freddy
They all sat down and ate their favourite food.
From that day on Boris didn't chop any more trees down in the wood he just took branches from the side of the river.
All the animals lived happily together again.
