Friendship

Little kitty said to mouse
I want to be your friend
That’s great the mouse answered back
Our friendship will never end
No matter how, when and where
We’ll help each other out
And if you’re ever in a bind just call my name out
You too the kitty answered back
Remember every day that I will always be your friend
And never run away
They played together every day and had a lot of fun
They built a house on the roof under the summer sun
The time went by the seasons changed
The winter came along
The kitty’s friendship with the mouse
Has still remained strong
One day however in the park the kitty was alone
One of the other cats around picked up and threw a stone
The stone hit the kitty hard and hurt his little paw
He didn’t understand at all what have they done that for?
The other cats were laughing hard and making fun of him
A cat cannot befriend a mouse, get out of our team
You are an outsider now; we do not want you here
Get rid of nasty little mouse and then you’ll have no fear
We do not play with mice you see
They are not welcome here, get rid of him once and for all, we do not want him near
The kitty licked his paw and said, I am not scared of you
I have a friend that always will stand by me, and it’s true
He will not leave me by myself in hour of need
He will be always there to help, he’s real friend indeed
We have been friends for quite some time and I am very proud
To say that all I need to do to call him is just shout
He’ll come to help me rain or shine and no matter what
He will be there for me I know
So I will tell you what.
You let us be, don’t bother us
Get lost and disappear, because right now I know
My friend is very near
The cats didn’t like that speech at all
But they had no choice they turned around
And left the park, without any noise
So here is a lesson learned for all of you out there
That having real friends just means
To have the friends who care
I am really wishing all of you to find one in this land
And a have a friendship that through the years will never ever end
