About fear

The small town of Coal was the only real place that Tommy knew all his life. It was a great place to grow up, it was just that, at some time he had out grown the town. Then Tommy would think of what it would be like to leave, it was a thought that he did not want to think about. For he liked that his family was near him always. The other hand was that he knew that he wanted to see what the world had to offer. That he had dreamed to be a writer for a news paper. He knew that Coal was not the place for that, for there were few jobs there.

So one day he talked it over with his mom and dad, he told them that he was going in the Army. Then after that he would be a writer for the news paper. It was something that Tommy`s father was very happy of, it was something that Tommy`s mom knew that she would just have to pray for Tommy to be safe. Tommy knew that this was what he had to do, and he knew that after the Army he could go to college. One thing that he knew in his heart that this was what God wanted him to do.

Things were tough in the Army but Tommy got though it. Many of the guys that were of God had a group that they could talk and pray for each other. It was the one thing that Tommy was glad that he was a part of, because whatever happened next he could deal with, with God`s help.
