Does all life have value? There are two people being affected not just one when abortion is an option. There is a life at stake, someone who could be anyone. The child you do abort could be a doctor, the president, a musician, they could be anything. The sad fact is that you are killing a baby. It doesn’t matter how old, small, or developed the baby is. It is still a living human being.
Abortion has been being performed since c. 2700 BCE. (Joffe) Abortion can lead to deaths, complications, and ruin a woman's chances of ever even having a baby. A pregnancy is something natural, and when you try to ruin something your body is made for, it ruins it. If you never wanted to get pregnant you should have taken the right precautions. The baby inside you should not have to suffer for your own mistakes.
Some people are so desperate for an abortion they will do anything to get rid of a baby. This may be more damaging than they would know. “They may attempt to self-abort or rely on another person who does not have proper medical training or access to proper facilities. This has a tendency to lead to severe complications, such as incomplete abortion, sepsis, hemorrhage, and damage to internal organs.” (Okonofua) Abortions are not natural. They were never meant to be done.
When a person is raped you may want that fetus out of you. The only ethical reason why you should get an abortion. When someone else took advantage of your body, it is understandable that you don’t want that constant reminder of what happened to you. That was something you never wanted, or ever planned to have inside you.
Abortions can also be performed if you know something is wrong with your pregnancy and can potentially hurt you and the fetus. You made need to abort the fetus to protect your health and the health of the future baby.When having a baby, some women's health will be at risk damaging them for life. They have the choice to keep their body safe, and avoiding any complications for the fetus as well.

However,unsafe abortions result in approximately 47,000 maternal deaths] and 5 million hospital admissions per year globally.” (Shah) If something can kill you for something natural that your body should do, it is not safe. A lot of people say that the fetus has right to life, which is true. No matter what that is still a living being inside of a women. The fetus has a heart beat just like you, so you shouldn’t be able to decided if they live or die.
Abortion shouldn’t be legal. You are taking the life away of an innocent human being. You may think that the fetus is too small and isn’t developed, but they do have a heart beat. That is life living inside of you. It may be your body, but if you make the selfish decision to have unprotected sex with not thinking of the consequences you shouldn’t throw away someone else's life. Does all life have value?
