A while back some time ago
A baby tree was born
This cutest baby pine tree
Was born amidst the storm
She was the prettiest of all
And very friendly too
She smiled at everyone around
And shined right on through
Her name was Ellia
And she has made her family proud
For she was kind to everyone
Who wanted to be around
She played with children, birds and plants
The games they wished to play
For anyone who came by
She brightened up their day
When years passed by
And she grew up, her pine needles grew
And now they weren’t baby green
But sparkling shiny blue
And during winter time she stood
In snow covered white
And everything around her
Was beautiful and bright
She now wasn’t just a tree
Who lived in woods alone
So one day a very little bird
Has built herself a home
Among her branches she has made
A cozy little nest, where she was
Coming every day to get some nightly rest
The bird and Ellia the tree
Had quickly become friends
They played together from the dawn until the late night ends
The days went by and all was well
Until at night one day
The birdie heard a loud cry from very far away
She rushed on home just to see that Ellia wasn’t well
She wasn’t like her usual self,
What’s wrong she couldn’t tell
The only thing she realized that someone hurt her trunk
Her bottom branches were bent and someone scraped her bark
She saw the rodent who was busy eating Ellia’s wood
She knew she had to help in any way she could
She started calling other birds to come and help her out
The birds came flying and all of them have got the rodent out
They wrapped Ellia’s trunk real tight so that it wouldn’t fall
And they took care of all her needs of anything at all
Ellia is all healthy now so beautiful and strong
But she was lucky that her friend the birdie came along
Let’s treasure those around us who genuinely care
The ones who no matter what will offer to be there
Let’s keep the world around us so beautiful and bright
That even during toughest times we’ll always be all right.
