Love, a four letter word but it contains sadness and happiness both. Love is not what mind thinks it is what heart feels. Love is amazing, mysterious, exciting and much more but I think love has no definition.
I, Akshar Mehta, have always been interested in reading and writing and was from a Hindu brahmin caste, when I was in std 10th a new student was introduced. I hardly talked with her as she was quiet and always minded her own business, but in std 11th her place came beside me and I saw her tensed and confused from the starting of the school so after a few days I decided to talk to her. I asked her ‘Do you have any problem that you can share with me?’ I can see her eyes filled with tears.
So you will solve my problem?’ she answered.
‘No, but I can try’, I said it with a smile.
“A boy in section b cheated me, he loves somebody else, he just used me and ate on my money. I can never understand why boys r so… disgusting?”
Seeing her face I understood she might really hurt a lot so I said, ”OK don’t cry, what if the boy apologizes to you?”
“he’ll never ever do that I bet”
As I heard the word bet I spoke quickly “bet on what”
She said thinking after some seconds “hmmm.. i will give you 5000 RS for that.”
As I listened, 5000, I understood that yes, boy she is rich, so I said to her yes and asked about the boy. she told me his name is Feroz.
Feroz was my friend’s best friend so I mostly went with them to do my mission and I made a plan directly. I said to feroz, shockingly, “feroz, I think you're dead.” he asked me why, I answered him “I am just coming from my class, your ex gf was talking with her friends that she will go to your home to your parents if you will not say sorry to her.”
“what, my dad will kill me. I am going to say sorry to her, and thank you for that, bye.”
I was thinking, yes yes, I did it. the next day I collected 5000 RS from her. she was amazed how only in 2 days I did this job. she smiled and said, “hi am Zara and thank you.”
Slowly we became close friends and we both fell in love in a period of time.
Every night I was thinking about her. Now sitting in open ground and feeling the fresh cool air, really my life became beautiful, for her. Every time when I see her eyes I saw heaven.”
But on the day of annual function she wore a burkha. she really looked beautiful. I asked her about her dressing. after 2 years, I did not know she was from a Muslim family. My parents would never wish to see me with a girl of Muslim religion.
As I told her I am Hindu, she was too shocked as according to her I was Muslim.
But I said her ”not to worry Zara, we follow the same religion in a different way.”
She asked me how. I answered her, “our religion is love.”
But the biggest problem in my life was when in college one day she said to me that she is going to Goa for 20 days with her parents, but saying that she hugged me and started crying. I thought she might be crying as she is going far from me.
In my time there were very few mobiles, mostly telephones were seen.
But on the 15th day I was roaming and I met her best friend. she said to me, “Aren’t you sad about Zara?”
I answered “what is there to be sad about, I should be happy that she is returning tomorrow."
“Don’t you know she has gone for her marriage to junagadh?”
“You are joking right?”
“No, not at all, didn’t she tell you?”
I was extremely shocked listening to this. I left eating and I was quiet, for 5 days I didn’t utter a word. on the day of returning I just got a letter of goodbye from her and just read in there that she will never meet me again.
A friend told me to move on, but how could the girl whom I loved more than anyone in this world go away from my life?
I married a lovely girl named Arpita, but still I can never never forget zara, but I thought that why for Zara should Arpita suffer so I gave my love to her.
In 2005 I, my wife and my little son Sameer were travelling in a plane to Mumbai but, it was the last flight for my wife as the plane crashed. In plane only three people were alive, I, my son and a lady.
We were injured. my son was just of 5 and I was of 28 at that time. After a month I moved to another city and got a nice job. I was a mother and father both for my son. I never let him feel that he has no mother.
One fine day when I was waiting on the railway station I saw the lady who was alive on the airplane. as I saw her eyes I can see zara in her eyes.
Seeing her eyes I remembered zara.
I went near to her and said “hi, remember me madam”.
“oh! You were the man on the plane right yes”.
As I heard the word plane I said ”don’t say plane it has taken my wife forever.”
“I am sorry, I too hate planes, it has taken my husband”
“OK bye its time for my train.”
She said “see you soon.”
I liked that girl quite much as she was like Zara.
We met everyday at station. one day I asked for a coffee to her, we talked a lot of time.
She introduced herself as Zoya.
Suddenly she told me she had a best friend who was the same as me, she named him Akshar.”
I asked her “are you Zara?”
“Akashar?”
We hugged each other and she started crying. We were too happy.
Meeting each other again was like amazing, we never thought that we would meet again.
Me, Zara and Sameer moved to Australia. we never married according to the rules of Indian marriage, we just did court marriage, she had no connection with her family. And we were happy now in 2014. And I wish we will stay together forever.
