Heir to the Throne
Born 1983, M, from Atlanta,Texas, United StatesJaydon Yuellsay was walking home from a Shadow Game Competition. He saw Nathan, Sally, Taylor, Walter, and Miles fixing to teleport back to the real world after they had defeated a giant lab rat that Sattoe Kiver’s enemy The Brain had created.
“There is Sally Bloomsfield the Princess of Utopia,” said Jaydon to himself. He wanted to meet Sally but got nervous. He decided that instead of meeting her, he would hide in some bushes and get a closer look. As Jaydon tried to hide he stepped on a limb and it made a loud crunching noise.
“Did you hear that?” asked Sally to the others as they were getting ready to teleport. “I sure did and it came from that way,” said Taylor pointing towards the woods. They decide to investigate.
Jaydon was on his knees hiding behind a tree. “Alright whoever you are come on out,” said Taylor. Jaydon stood up and then came out from hiding. “Who are you?” asked Sally. “I...I...I...I am Jaydon your highness,” said Jaydon nervously. “Your highness, what are you talking about?” asked Sally with a confused look on her face. “Aren’t you Sally Bloomsfield, the Princess of Utopia?” asked Jayden. “My name is Sally Bloomsfield but I am not the Princess of Utopia,” said Sally. “Oh, my mistake,” said Jaydon with a nervous chuckle and then he walked off.
“What was that about?” asked Taylor. “I am not sure but I am going to find out,” said Sally as she drew another teleport card from her deck. She handed the card to Taylor. “I want you, Walter, and Miles to head back. Me and Nathan is going to go to the Kingdom of Utopia and find out what is going on,” said Sally.
Nathan and Sally stood in front of a castle when they arrived in the Kingdom of Utopia. They walked towards the front door. There were two guards standing at the door. “Great, we are going to have fight some guards,” moaned Sally. The two guards saw them and opened the door. “Good afternoon, your highness,” said one of the guards. The other guard saluted them as they entered.
Sally and Nathan walked down a long hallway. Midway down the long hall was a room on the left guarded by two guards. The guard stopped them. “The queen is in there your highness,” said one of the guards opening the door for them.
Inside the room was a frail woman setting up in bed. “It is so good to see you, Princess Sally. You have really grown up into beautiful young lady” said Queen Layla. Sally sat down on the bed beside. “Why is everyone calling me princess and your highness?” asked Sally. “Because you are the princess of Utopia. If you will look in the bottom of the chester drawer and hand me the book that is in it, I will explain it to you so that you will understand,” said Layla. Sally opened the chester drawer and handed the book to Layla. “Honey, will you hand me my glasses,”said Layla pointing to the glasses on top of the chester drawer. Sally handed Layla her glasses.
Layla opened the book and there was a picture in the book of Sally’s grandfather and Layla. “Do you know who this is?” asked Layla pointing to Sally’s grandfather in the picture. “Yes, that is my grandpa on my dad’s side of the family,” said Sally.
Layla then turned a couple of pages in the book. “If the king and queen has no living children, then the queen must travel and play Shadow Games until she loses,” said Layla reading from the book. “You played a Shadow game with my grandfather?” asked Sally interrupting her. “Yes, and he won,” said Layla. “The first born daughter of the victor shall become Princess of Utopia. In the event the victor does not bear any daughters then the first granddaughter shall become princess,” continued Layla reading from the book. “Grandpa on my father’s side only had two sons, my father and Carl. I was the first daughter and only child born to my father and Carl did not have any children, I am the first granddaughter,” said Sally. Layla closed the book and sit it down beside her. “When you marry and have your first child then the king will perish; you will become queen and your husband will become king,” said Layla. “And the first born child will be either a prince or a princess,” said Sally interrupting Layla.
“Now, that you understand, I want you to look in the middle drawer,” said Layla. Sally opened the drawer which contained a locket and a deck of cards. “That is the princess deck and the locket has special powers. Go ahead and put the locket on,” said Layla. Sally put the locket on.
“Would you do one thing before you leave?” asked Layla. “Sure, what is it?” asked Sally “Would you sing me a lullaby?” asked Layla, laying down to go to sleep. “I am not really good at singing, but I will sing for you,” said Sally. The locket began to glow and it’s special powers changed the tone and pitch of Sally’s voice. She began to sing for the queen and her voice was so beautiful sounding that all in the castle that heard her had to stop and listen. When she finished the lullaby, she noticed that the queen had passed away. She kissed her on the forehead and then left the room.
Nathan and Sally was leaving the castle when a nineteen year old girl came storming towards them. “What are you doing wearing the Princess Locket, you tramp,” said Deeva. “Who are you and you better watch what you call my girlfriend,” said Nathan rolling up his sleeves and doubling up his fist. “The name is Deeva and I am the rightful heir to the throne, not this little tramp,” said Deeva. “What makes you think you are next in line?” asked Sally. “Because I was married to the king and the queen’s only son and when he divorced me, I stole his soul. Now hand over the Princess Locket,” demanded Deeva. “If you want the locket, then you are going to have to compete in a Shadow Game for it,” said Sally. “Fine,” said Deeva.
Deeva and Sally walked over to an open area beside the castle. “I will go first. I will start by summoning Tricky Leafing,” said Deeva. A leaf with legs, arms, and eyes appeared. “Next I will summon Ball of Fate,” continued Deeva. A ball with spikes appeared. “I will now play Ancient Cannon and then place three cards face down to end my turn.” concluded Deeva. A cannon appeared beside the ball with spikes along with three face down cards behind the leaf, the ball with spikes, and the cannon. Sally was taking her time trying to figure out a move because the first two monsters on the field would destroy hers before they attacked and the cannon would double in attack points after each of Deeva’s monsters attacked. Deeva began getting impatient waiting on Sally to take her turn. “Come on and play tramp, so we can get this over with and I can have the Princess Locket,” said Deeva. Sally drew three cards. “First I place two cards face down,” said Sally. Two cards appeared in front of her. “Now I use the Spell Card Destroyer, which destroys all of your monsters and spell cards in play,” said Sally. The leaf, the ball with spikes, the cannon, and the three cards exploded. “No!” said Deeva. “Oh yes, and I am not through next I summon the two cards I place face down, which is Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl,” said Sally. A magician holding a magic wand and a young girl holding a magic wand appeared. “Since I eliminated all of your monsters and spell cards that means you are defenseless. When Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl attacks you will lose all of your life points, since they have a combined total of four thousand three hundred attack points. I don’t want to keep you waiting, Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl attack!” shouted Sally. Dark Magician and Dark magician Girl started waving their magic wand. “You may have won this time, Bloomsfield, but I will be back,” said Deeva storming off.
Nathan and Sally transported back to the real world and to Sally’s bedroom where Taylor and Miles were on Sally’s bed watching tv. “Did you get to the bottom of what was going on?” asked Taylor. “Yes, I did, and it turns out I am princess after all,” said Sally sitting down on the bed and telling Taylor and Miles about meeting the queen and the Shadow Game with Deeva.
