The claps
Born 1995, F, from Kolkata, IndiaHello readers! How many of you believe in ghosts? I never did... Until last night.
It so happened that I was completely unaware of an accident that took place in the railway line that is exactly behind my house. A month before I heard from my mom and my boyfriend about the accident where a man accidentally came in front of the running train and was smashed by it. History says that the man was blind and by the time he heard the train, it was too late. I heard that my boyfriend's three best buddies once had encoutered the ghost and one of them almost died. I laughed to myself and decided to prove to them that it was all the effect of their getting drunk at night and hence my mom and boyfriend needn't believe in them.
the next night i went there and waited for something to happen. As usual i was bored and sat there for a long time. I decided to listen to some music to cut off the boredom. Since i didn't have my headphones, i started listening to it in speaker mode. After sometime i heard someone clapping. The clapping grew louder and came nearer. At first i thought it was some passer-by clapping to keep the snakes away, but the continuous clapping rang my ears. I was terrified and started running but the clapping followed me, but there was no one behind me. Suddenly i heard a train coming from the other side and the horn was louder than my music. The clapping suddenly started following the train. I stopped my music and rushed home.
My boyfriend slapped me hard once and then said that the man who died was blind. He claps and chases every noise he hears. After that i never laughed at a ghost story.
