To Bubba(Jonobody) Carter,

I love you. I need you to know that. I need this to be within your thoughts everyday. If there’s one thing to remember, remember this. You are my bubba, before you I was emotionally detached. I didn’t feel like it was possible to ever feel this kind of love. When you were born my heart was too. I feel as though you are my heart. I’m writing this in case anything were to ever happen to me. If so, I’m sorry. I’m sorry I can’t be there with you now. I’m sorry i can’t be there to watch you grow up to become the man you will be, or to buy you a beer at the bar when you come of age. I’m sure it wouldn’t be your first. I miss you, I hope you know. You see, I too know what it is like to lose your dad. I lost mine when I was 13. I never got to know the man I admired so much. I missed him everyday. Every time I thought of him I thought of how much I would like him to know that I’m like him in every way. I see this in you everyday bubba. I see how you are just like me and resemble me in every way. One of my biggest wishes is to be able to show my dad how much of a more beautiful son I created. Ha. Right now, you are one. It’s August 15, 2014. Your Uncle Sean’s birthday (21) is tomorrow. He’s out right now getting his night started. I love you more than life bubba. You are my everything. You just came in crying cause your big head made you tip over and fall on your face. I thought you should know how much of a crybaby you were. Even then, I still cherished holding you and feeling you squeeze me tightly, embracing each other. I love you so much. Bubba, be a good man. Take care of your family. Live a good life. Have fun. Do things you’ll regret when you’re young and make up for them when you’re older. I love and miss you always.
