Elvis's Death
Born 1971, M, from Tennessee, United StatesElvis died thirty-seven years ago today. For years many people believed that Elvis faked his death and a lot of people claimed that they saw Elvis. But it has been a long time since I've heard about any Elvis sightings. I think that people have accepted that he really did die in 1977.
I read two articles in tabloids. One article said that Elvis had a closed casket funeral. The writer said that as far as anybody knew, the casket could've been filled with rocks instead of Elvis's body. But a short time later I read the 2nd article and it showed that Elvis had an open casket funeral. It showed a picture of Presley in his coffin.
I've always been an Elvis fan. One reason is because he and I both live/lived in Tennessee. The other reason is because he was extremely talented. My two favorite Elvis songs are 'Burning Love' and 'Ain't that loving you baby'.
Back in 1978 I bought one of Elvis's albums at the Family Dollar. I was only about seven years old at the time. I remember thinking that it had been only one year since he died. Billions of people loved Elvis. May he Rest In Peace.
[Dedicated to Elvis Presley (1935-1977) who died on August 16, 1977.]
